I consider this the last true WCW era show, before Hogan got a stranglehold onto the company with him, and all of his buddies joining WCW soon after. Some examples of this were Cactus Jack wrestling his last match here, Steven Regal's last major match before getting demoted, Ricky Steamboat retiring(although we didn't know it yet), Steve Austin's last major angle and push, Dusty Rhodes last main event match, and Vader and Sting's last match on a WCW PPV. This felt like an old school WCW tribute show to me.

I've always looked at Slamboree 1994 as the end of the era for the old WCW But this one has that feel as well

@@WeAreProWrestling Oh for sure a case can be made with that too. Whether you look at it positively or negatively, Hulk Hogan really had a major impact on WCW in 1994.

This show wasn't that bad. This was in many ways the end of old era WCW. Reason being is cause a lot of people were leaving for "greater pastures" *wink wink* as you always say "if you know, you know". The finish to the Triangle match was messy but it worked. The nostalgia of Dusty Rhodes being in his last Wargames match was awesome cause it wouldn't be a Wargames match without The American Dream babeh.

The reason why Hogan wasn't on the show was because in his contract in 1994 he was only obligated to do three shows which are bash at the beach Halloween havoc and starcade. And some clash of the champions as well.

He wrestled both August & November Clashes in 1994 And there was that via satellite segment on this show to set up the Main Event for Halloween Havoc

I have a few questions for you James. 1. Did you hear that, according to Dusty on the WarGames DVD, Robert Parker crapped his pants during this match? 2. Had Steamboat not gotten injured, do you think A, Austin would’ve gone over, and B, he would’ve gone higher up on the card? 3. Do you think WCW stole the Triangle match concept from ECW, after their Night the Line Was Crossed show with Sabu, Funk & Douglas? 4. Had Meng been in WarGames match, how do you think the finish would’ve gone? 5. If both Meng & Parker were in the WarGames match, who do you think would’ve been a 5th member of Team Dusty?

1. Did see the DVD & did hear that 2. Austin probably would have gone over & who knows what would have happened after that 3. Yes 4. Faces probably still go over, because heels only had gone over once in War Games prior to this 5. They didn't do 5 people teams at War Games at this point, so I don't know

Three questions for you. 1. Do you think it was a mistake to not put the world title on Austin ? 2. Do you think if Austin had won; he would have go to the wwf anyway ? 3.What did you think about the sting and Mick Foley fued ?
@WeAreProWrestling

1 & 2. Everything happens for a reason. Austin getting squashed here lead to the Stone Cold character(born in ECW) & the rest is history 3. In WCW it was good; TNA not so much
