The front engine should be on a hand throttle.. It's just for a winch anyway. You don't want them both to rev on one pedal-- it's just not going to work well; one will always be revving to high and the other too low. I don't like it. lol

It's because dude works his ass off and his skill level is top notch...and his knowledge level???....almost unbelievable. I've worked in the aerospace industry as a tech and eventually as an inspector for 20 plus years and have been lucky enough to cross paths with some the very best mechanics that this world has to offer and I have to say any work that Rich Deboss does is some damn fine mekanekin'. I especially liked his explanation of torque to spec. EVERYTHING in aerospace has to be torqued and witnessed as it happens so eventually everyone learns that it's not about getting the fastener tight, its about the liability...anyway, if your not filthy you ain't Rich !!!

just a little tip If you do put a tool box in the empty space on the tank drill drain holes in all the trays and the bottom of the box or it will hold water when you drive thru a lake or channel . if in the future the pickup body turns out beyond repair you could think about putting a slightly shortened schoolbus on top of the tank , i think you can lower the skirts of one of those busses so it basicly becomes one with the tank body , and you can add seats and take people in trips with it , you can put hatches in the floor to get to the engine in the tank only question would be to use a front steer bus or a truck style bus as the base
@DGHD
2 жыл бұрын
Height is the issue. Any higher and we can't float it
@watahyahknow
2 жыл бұрын
@@DGHD i'm not sure but the height from the floor up on a schoolbus might be as about the same as the measurment from the top of the tank to the top of the roof of the pickup , there a lot of sideskirt on a bus that goes below the actual floor and frame , you wouldnt need the heavy frame thats under a bus just the crossbeams and sideskirts along the body arent all that difficult to cut to fit the shape of the top of the tank you could lower the bus a little more and cut the whole bus body off about the floorlevel theres quite a bit of straight metal up to the windows (front part be a little harder ), you loose the option to stand up inside and it might actually end up being the same height as the pickup (little wider though) with a LOT more room around and in front of the driver , i think you can make it fit so the only thing left to see of the tank are its fenders and tracks (probably can use the rear emergency door to get in and out of the vehicle if you raise it up inside the body )
