ANIMATIONS RE-RELEASED FOR 2020
For the past eight years Why Music Matters has supported Music Australia and the nation-wide program Music: Count Us In by commissioning a music video animation for each year's song.
To help schools, students and teachers as we switch to remote learning, Why Music Matters has worked together with Music Australia to re-release every Music: Count Us In animation and lyrics.
As we approach the release of the song for 2020, we look back to last year, when the student songwriters were assisted by Australian musician and songwriter Jack River to create 'We Are'.

"We Are" is the 2019 program song for Music: Count Us In, Australia's largest school songwriting initiative.
"We Are" lyrics and score were written by Australian students Sawab Mlalh, Amber Farnan, Roan Nair and Brady Cavanagh. The students received guidance from the program's ambassador and award-winning producer John Foreman OAM, and this year's music mentor, Australian artist Jack River.
The 2019 Music: Count Us In animation was created by William Gembitsky.
William is a Sydney-based animator and illustrator; his practice varies from sleek advertising and endearing cartoons, all the way to the zany and psychedelic. You can find more of William's work at his portfolio: vimeo.com/gembitsky.
