4:45 The way Michael goes back to Stevie in order to help guide him as he wraps his arm around his own and they hold each others hands is adorable. It shows Michael did not only innocently nurture children including physically impared/challenged, but also adults who underwent the same circumstances. He cared, and gave, and loved. We love you Mike 💚

For me, a fascinating revelation I got from the Netflix special was that MJ didn’t play the piano and so was limited in his ability to traditionally compose music. Instead, he relied on his humming and beep-bopping to communicate his ideas for melodies. Then an actual musical “writer” or composer would translate his ideas into a written song. This is where Lionel came in. It makes so much sense now why MJ was always humming a tune and beep-bopping beats. He had so much music inside of him to share, but until he found a translator, he carried it his heart and mind and on his lips.

This was the original look for BAD in 1986. Michael intended that BAD would be released in the summer of 1986 with a military style of dancing and fashion for that album (that's why in late 85 to mid 86, Michael went from the Prince Charming look to military. In the end he let his sister Janet use the military style of dancing and the record wasnt ready by that summer and it took until the late summer of 87 for the album to come out and by then Michael wanted the tough street/buckles/biker bad boy look as hip hop and metal were becoming popular in late 86.
