Nice video. I will correct you on one thing in regards to 2XKO. Judging by your comments made in the video, you are not familiar with the FGC (Fighting Game Community). Last year, there were playable builds made available for the public to play at major fighting game tournaments like EVO, and Riot brought in major competitors in the FGC to try various builds of the game. And they plan on doing that again this year, as well as a closed beta. Doesn't change the fact that the development of the game is moving as slow as molasses, but it might be futher along than we think it is.

I was unaware of that. I don't keep up with the FGC as a whole, so appreciate it.

@@KadaiGaming The lead dev on 2xko is Tom Cannon, a _very_ respected figure in the FGC. He's one of the founders of EVO, a creator of GGPO, among a list of other stuff. It's definitely in good hands, so it's fair to say if it's being delayed it's for a good reason. I think in this day and age, a long dev cycle is something we should know enough to appreciate - it means the devs are being given the time they need and have enough pull within the company to successfully request these things. Personally, I despise LoL and am only coming at this from a fighting game standpoint.

Great video. I've been a hardcore league player for over 10+ years. It's been quite literally a part of my income from boosting people almost every day (I know I'm sorry) so you can say I'm extremely invested into league. It's one of my favourite games of all time after all. I can safely say with extreme confidence that the game I know and love is slowly dying, at least on the NA side. It's depressing to see how the game has become a shell of itself. There's so many factors that contributed to its decline so I don't want to go into extreme detail but I will include that I've actually quit the game since last year as a result. It's kind of strange and interesting to have such a big part of your life basically evaporated and I don't feel any inclination to continue playing. It's a telling sign when an addict can simply cease playing the game and I have absolutely no intention on looking back.

I had a phase where I would pay my friends back in Brazil to grind the battlepass for me so I could get the battle pass skins 30 euro goes a long way in south america, and my friends played 24h a day anyways, so the only difference is they would play on my account. It sucks balls that I and many others fell into this FOMO and battlepass bullcrap

The only MMOs that have brought in any new players recently have been FF14 and Old School Runescape. Those are essentially the only two MMOs that aren't failing. People are generally just done af with the business model and this is not enough to change it up.

its really awesome how your game being loved by the people who play it, isnt what determines the success of a studio, but rather how much money you can suck out of the playerbase! thats just so cool to me and makes me very happy about the world we live in. :^)

i think its ok for them to throw their net even if they dont succeed but i think killing something like LoR is so silly, league and valorant obviously make them obscene amounts of money so the idea that a project cant exist if its losing them, what, like 1 million a year despite valorant making them a billion a year is just disgusting from a players PoV. MMO reset is also disappointing but I like FFXIV/OSRS so not too heartbroken over it.

Fully agreed, as if paying those extra developers to keep LOR running the game decently as they have been. Also feel like they spent 0 effort into actually ever advertising the game, you never saw anything about it, meanwhile TFT, and maybe Forge projects get stuffed down your throat in the client.

I was so hyped for Project F. I quit league for good after 6 years in 2017 and Valorant wasn't enticing enough for me to play their games again. After 5 years, there's not a single real peep on the development and none of the playerbase were pushing Rito to release the game at all.

riot is adding vanguard to league to tackle the bots and scripters. i think vanguard will be able to solve two problems. also for the matchmaking thing i would say that its trying to give everyone a fair match. if you stomp a match you might feel better but another player from the enemy team will be demoralized. so riot has to make a middle ground where games are not stomp and everyone has a fighting chance. if you have the necessary skills of the rank you deserve you will get there in no time. still there are problems in the matchmaking and they are updating the system this mid season. also for the toxicity part i have seen many players in my games which i have reported or others have reported get banned within a hour or two. at least this is the situation in SEA region. when the SEA region was managed by garena the reporting system was useless and people talked $hit everytime. now its a lot better imo. sometimes even the game decides to ban toxic players itself without me reporting. and for the monetization part i would say at least they are not locking the champions or runes or anything essential behind paywall which in turn will make the game p2w. its just cosmetics and in game cosmetics are just digital goods, there is no said value to them. riot can increase the price or decrease the price or value anytime they want since there is no one setting the value of a league skin. you cant sell them or trade them with real money anyway, its all digital sales. so i would say i have no complaints about how they wanna monetize the game as long as they are not making the game p2w. for the arpg, they are still developing the game. if you see their career site you will see they are always hiring for internal R&D for unannounced titles. so they are still cooking things up, just not showing anything. when they feel confident they will show it. for LOR, i think the main reason is that the card games genre as a whole is very niche and has very low playerbase. and most of the playerbase is committed in another game heavily. mostly because they spent money on that game since most of them are p2w. so many people did not want to switch their main games for LOR. i think thats the main reason LOR pvp failed. they are still releasing content for the pve side so i dont think they have completely abandoned it. and lastly for riot forge titles, most of the players were league players or who knew league and runeterra. riot failed to go to the playerbase who did not knew anything about runeterra and felt that they had to know about runeterra to enjoy them. also if you look at the steam peak player counts of each riot forge titles most of them had really low peak players. so the games were not that successful either. mainly because i think the riot forge titles did not do anything particularly unique in their genres. they were the same games the indie studion made before just with a runeterra coat of paint. thats why in the mmo post merc said that they did not want players to feel like they were playing a generic mmorpg with runeterra coat of paint. they learned from their mistakes of the riot forge titles. they know that the mmorpg will be have massive number of players regardless of how they release since its a runeterra title. they want to make sure that players dont get bored quickly and quit the game after some time. thats why they are re-adjusting the focus of the game. previously it was mostly like how wow is. now they are most likely trying to for the more genshin impact and new world route. since there is no ghostcrawler in the team now, they can readjust without any conflict within the team. ohh this was a long comment. thanks for reading all the way.

Lol sux because they turned matchmaking into the equivalent of loot boxes, one game I go 24/2/20 then lose Two in a row because of harder people then go 20+ kills again. There's no in-between hardly any "even games" anymore it's just garbage.
@gamersworld4176

thats because the matchmaking is trying to calibrate your mmr where it should be. because you are stomping in low mmr matches the system thinks you are better than your current mmr so it places you in a higher mmr match . but when you dont do well it puts you back where you were before. the process is constantly repeating itself. what you need to do is to find out what you are doing wrong in the losing matches and what are the good things you did in the winning one. then work on those weaknesses and build up a consistent pattern. if you are serious about competitive that is
