After spending two weeks in Anchorage, Alaska, sort of recuperating from our one month journey through the Canadian Rockies, and into Alaska, we finally headed out and made our way to Seward in order to explore Kenai Fjords National Park.
Places to stay were a little bit more limited here than we had expected. However, we found a great spot just down the road from the entrance to the national park. Several other RVers had the same idea. It was a great roadside spot right along the river. There was another place just down the road, but our camper was too big to fit down the narrow road leading to the campsites.
After getting set up, we drove down to get our first look at the glacier. It looks very unassuming in these videos, but we would find out the next day exactly how tough the hike up to the icefield above would be. Little did we know at the time that hike the next day would end up being the best hike we have ever done.
We left exit glacier and headed into town to take a few photos. Seward Alaska is an absolutely beautiful place.
