My 2023 Highlander Hybrid has some of the same problems with the carplay system. I believe the problem is Toyota is not keeping up with the updates the phones are doing. My system worked great for the first 3 months of ownership and then the phone did a major update, then the little bugs keep coming out. Things may get better but not prefect if you try this with the system. Go in and delete out the phone then reinstall it. Things seemed to work better, but you have to do this every time apple does an update, which is about every 5 weeks. When apple did the new os 18 update, everything was back to working great, then the phone did the little update and the bugs are back now. I also felt the car was unsafe to drive with the safety system on, especially in the rain. It wants to hug the right side of the road driving down the highway, but when it comes to an exit or on ramp it wants to move over more then it sees it made a mistake and centers the car back fast. It is a very uncomfortable feeling.

With 2012 Camry XLE Hybrid was about $30-31k. Now 2025, we start off as HEV. Camry LE HEV about $29-30k. Camry XLE HEV $$35-37k. Obviously price increased in the last 13 years. Bluetooth pairing will be finnicky between any Bluetooth device but I second the other comment where if you run into this issue you should hold down the power button to reset the infotainment. It also helps if not more than 2 devices are paired, if those devices are in the car it sometimes gets confused on which phone it wants to pair. It's also beneficial to have a usb cable lying around so you can get the pairing done, quick fix. Its still early with only 3 months of ownership but Toyota did a wonderful job with this Camry

Weirdly I was able to feel the road a lot more on the Camry (XSE + Premium Package) compared to the 2024 Sonata Hybrid Limited. No denying that it's more reliable, but the comfort and noise isolation is far superior on the Hyundais, IMO. Tech issues with the carplay is not really helping Camry's case! Looks like they just wanted to release the new year model so that they aren't left behind on tech against their competition. Since my Sonata has been deemed a lemon, I was excited to actually try the Camry out. I had the 2021 version of this car and had an issue with an audible vibration coming from the rear speakers of the JBL system. I was not playing music at very high levels, nor were any of my audio settings maxed out. I took the car back to the dealership 3 times. The first time, less than a week in, the subwoofer was replaced due to a broken coil. The second time, additional insulation was installed, the third time, nothing else could be done and I was told it was a known issue that Toyota was working to resolve. I figured this was a design flaw that would be corrected for the redesign. Sadly, the 2025 models are more of a visual refresh, excluding interior and powertrain upgrades, so the overall exterior design for 2025 has just been slightly modified at best. With that said, it is possible that this issue, if not resolved, could carry over into this current generation. I kept my Camry for just 2 years and have driven nothing but Toyota and Lexus products until 2023 when I leased my first ever Honda Accord Sport-L Hybrid.

The Toyota master mechnic Car Care Nut (youtube) found his new 2025 Camry (personally bought) had a squeaky front dash. As he discussed: at a Japanese (in-country) assembly line the auto workers would have shut down production and solved the squeaky dash problem before the cars resumed production. There is a pride in their work that disappeared in the US a long time ago. In America the Toyota American Plants have adapted the "let the dealers fix the problems we create" attitude that has permeated and made a mockery of the "Quality is job one" commercials. Toyota has never been known for great interior quality or great tech since tech has been a thing in cars. The phone connectivity and the lane assist nanny would drive me totally bonkers. I had a Corolla rental car for a few days and the infotainment sucked so bad I never used it after the first day. The lane assist drove me nuts on the interstate. Hyundai's tech is so much better based on my experience. This is my problem with Toyotas. They may last a long time, but do I really want to drive something with poor interior quality and annoying tech issues? No.

Could be the smartphone problem? I'm having my Camry xse 2025 for 2 month now. I specifically use Android Auto on 3 days of the week, and the rest I only use Bluetooth (reason is I like to have the navigation arrow on my HUD lmao, the Google Map in Android Auto doesn't pass the navigation info to my console or HUD). But regardless I switch in and out from Android Auto pretty smooth, everything connected fast and nice. (I'm using Galaxy Fold 5 with Android version 14)

Funny thing is I have the same exact annoyances you guys brought up regarding the driver arm rest and the rattling sound at the panoramic moonroof area. I was laughing so hard as you pointed it out right exactly at the same area for both. The other 3 armrests are perfectly fine when you press on them, no plasticky sound. I was planning to bring it up to the sales person but I guess it is a normal thing.😂

I had the same squeak and brought it up to Toyota service when I brought it in for an unrelated issue. They checked two others that did the same thing. So I took it as a characteristic of the model/trim. I feel like I haven't noticed it the last few times I've driven it so I'm wondering if it's breaking in in my case.

@@philipcarrotta8525 that is what I am thinking when I saw this video, having all those issues at the exact same area means it is the way it was constructed by design, not just because someone forgot to screw or do a proper qc check on our car. I just avoid using the armrest so I don’t reminded of that issue lol

I have the same problem with Bluetooth connectivity on my 24 Corolla XLE. I mostly solved it by always having my phone in sleep mode when turning on the car. Something about the phone being awake interfered with initiating the connection. It still fails to connect, but only about 3% of the time instead of 30%.

I got the SE on 5-30. But its only a evening & weekend driver. Only 2,200 miles. Just finished hand washing. I can't find anything wrong. No weird vibrations. No Creeks, no rattles. I have checked all the rubber seals around the doors, stitching on the seats . Everything I could think of once I had it home. My wife"s 2022 sport touring Civic needed the driver's door seal replaced. It also has a rattling from the infotainment periodically. Her AC went out but supposedly was just a bad relay in the fuse box. Please get out and vote.

Rattles has to do with built quality. If the electric power steering still have a famous dented damper inside of it, prepare for a nightmare. usually after 3 years it comes apart. Part is 10 bucks. labor will top $800.00. My 2012 has it and it is the biggest pain. Ready for a new car and I am still considering the Camry. Dont want SUV for my daily driver and other that German sedans and the gremlins, i am kind of stuck.

One off-the-wall request, if I might: Can you keep track of whether that display screen scratches when cleaned, or is it tough like Gorilla glass? Because I'm the type who wouldn't tolerate those fingerprints. I need to know if it's going to wind up with swirl marks all over it if I keep a soft cloth handy to wipe it down.

@@CarConfections as a previous owner of a 2018 Camry XSE and a 2021 Camry XSE, the funny thing about the premium plus package is that some of the features on it were standard in 2018. Things like the parking sensors and front and rear auto braking. At the time it was called intelligence clearance sonar or ICS. So when I got a 2021 model and found out those were no longer standard features, you can imagine my disappointment.
