Very nice set up. Paccars are okay, it’s light weight with the mx-11, and with the Allison it will move nicely on the low end. What kind of fuel economy do you get with this truck, compared with the rest of the fleet? If you’re easy on the throttle and accelerate reasonably, you should see some pretty good fuel economy numbers. Make the most out of your jakes, with the Allison and you will probably see a pretty impressive brake life. The transmission can be programmed to drop 1-2 gears with the engine brake, to maximize its effectiveness. There are other options, such as a switch where the engine brake will only activate with the service brake, but only down shift with the engine rpm. Basically, imagine not using the jake at all and just riding your brakes to stop.

They have had heated boxes for years

Heated boxes have been around since the 60s or 70s maybe even before that , it's as simple as turning a valve on the exhaust pipe to reroute the exhaust through the body , they are required in most state paving jobs to keep the mix warmer and a must anywhere that gets below 32 in the winter . Even with heated boxes stuff freezes in the bodies here in New England. Mack I drove for years you could feel a big difference with horsepower when u used regular exhaust instead of sending it into the body where it was restricted

How long will it take to receive your Return On Investment? Will it be on the road daily, meaning do you have the work back log to keep the truck utilized to justify the purchase? Once a asset becomes immobile aka sits in the yard it becomes a liability and becomes an burden on the companies finances therefore ties up funds to hinder company growth and profits.
