Back when you showed the 1900 for the first time, I was thinking another video series of repainting it.

Should leave the 1900 for corn and the 1915 for hay lol

Thought about it but this 1900 is rough, I think we'd have nothing but problems out of it trying to run it. We know the 1915 is solid so is easier and cheaper to just keep the one running.

That old hay head is the one that could be converted back and forth between hay and corn I believe.

I found the owners manual for it after I made the video, I'm thinking it does convert too, I don't know if the 919 is older than the 939 or what but the manual definitely showed the 919 auger base and then the hay pickup and corn head options to fit that 919 base too just like the 939 we already had.

Those are low hours on both machines with CAT engines. Just nicely broken in, as my grandpa used to to say

Those 3306's will go on forever, they are stout engines.

Nope I farm 15 minutes from Winding River farms that chopper had major transmission failures starting years ago and never got right it has chopped a lot of feed they got rid of it 20 years ago because it was giving so many problems. And Winding River bought it used out of Ontario where it got a lot of its hours. 4800 hours on a 1900 is worn out not just broke in.

Yeah I heard they had 2 of these one was 2wd do you know if that's true or if they just had this one? I know Vissers put the KP on it at some point. The engine will run forever but the rest of it is pretty rough. Guy we got it from was quoted $14k to get it back operational so they went back to a pull type chopper. Then we bought this one for scrap value, basically.

@@macfarms the first one of those they ever had was a two-wheel drive they didn't keep it very long and sold it to a neighbor. He sold it again it went to New Brunswick somewhere. The reason they sold it was because it was a two-wheel drive doing corn on a wet year with 2wd isn't fun. They run an FX now but I can't remember if it's a 38 or 48. Seems to work good for them
