Since you got a pressure worship, go in there and wash around the roots at the bottom of the stumps. Do you clean them up enough that there's no rocks and stuff around the roots, and then you can cut them with the chainsaw without damaging your chains, and then it'll come out

Wow, Kubota...you went all out. Well done. We had a massive oak stump that needed to come out and not wanting to tear up the yard, we ended up hiring a guy with a stump grinder to come out. Took about two hours and $150 later it was out.

That wood will rot over time and in a couple years it will create a pothole. My backyard was trees and they didn't dig out the stumps so now i have a bumpy yard that I have to backfill in the holes. Not a huge deal if you are not building over that spot cause you can just keep filling and leveling with your tractor but keep that in mind if you intend on building anything on that location as the ground will sink in.

Holy cannoli, that’s one stubborn stump. I’d use an alternative method after a while but glad you finally succeeded. Only problem with not removing stump or large roots which I’ve encountered, is that over time they will rot underground and you’ll find voids in that spot down the road. Good video. Enjoy your content!

I have the L3401 with the same bucket. I would highly recommend looking at titan attachments for their 3-point trailer hitch attachments and ballast boxes. They might even do a deal for exposure. Ballast is hugely important for using that bucket, especially if you don't have fluid filled tires, though that box blade might be sufficient. A youtube channel called DIY My Way has some great videos on maintenance and accessories for the L series tractors.

Omg bud, just seen this after the lot clearing video. I didn't know you picked that tractor out new like that. Take care of it, store it under cover. Tractor is a fun absolutely but it's absolutely necessary as even you girl/wife knows it. Truthfully you really will need a larger model for the weight/size an power. Granted I literally am born an raised on a farm lol but the rule of thumb is only buy the tractor at least 1 size up from what you think you need. Don't matter how many gpm the pump puts out when she's off the ground. And even skidding trees out they pull less than our proper American made trucks do. Size you need is say a Deere 4000 series( I am a Deere fan born an raised but Kubotas their 1 equal honestly) as idk the equivalent Kubota model. You'll be able to recoup a good amount of what you'd spent but not all. Your saw chain depends on what size, type and need you have. Did a pretty good job tho buddy. Square round ground is my favorite, husky saws with Stihl chains lol my 562 is my go to saw, my 572 is for bringing the monsters to heel. I run cheap garbage saws to cut the stumps down enough. Tractor does the rest. Just starting out yous are doin great, you're learning fast lol only dig deep on one side if needed and you pull the stump opposite side of hole. And with such a small tractor load your bucket with something heavy lift 1/4 the way up, assuming you already have tires loaded air them down abit and get yourself some kinda 3 point you can add weight with a massive d ring or hook. That little tractor will then feel like a tractor lol I run geared but my family likes hydro so their ladies can easily drive. Tho my wife runs ours very impressive TBH. Wait untill you catch yours using the tractor "to weed the flower beds" haha

Power washing, isn't it easier to work/clean in a foreword direction? Otherwise you're spraying dirt over your just cleaned section? Tree stump. Did you chainsaw the stump roots & try splitting the root into sections or cookie shapes so less strain to remove it in sections... Lots of root fronds holding it into the ground. They can spread many yards & surprise you! Black powder, C4, etc might help too !!

Count your strokes on sharpening the chainsaw. Find the worst tooth, and the same strokes all the way around. Otherwise your saw will eventually cut circles instead of straight, especially if you don't match left and right sharpness

Just a heads up, if you don't make sure that you're taking off the same amount from each tooth, you'll end up in a situation where the teath that have had more material removed will no longer be making proper contact withthe wood. At its worst I've worked on a chain that about half the teath no longer cut!! When it comes to that I had a cheap set of calipers that I set on the smallest tooth and then had to sharpen every other tooth to that length!! It was worth it though as I used that saw to fell an oak tree and the shavings it was taking off were over 6 inches long and it cut like butter 👍👍👍👍👍

Be careful, chains and cables slip of and snap and can fly back and take you out. BTW that hole is not big enough for the filth that would have come out of my mouth, or the shame that accompanied it. Great job, keep up the hard work. When that stump decomposes you will have a big gap under it. You will either have to refill it multiple times, or the dirt and gravel under your concrete will sluff out and make even bigger problems under the concrete. Pull it out with the Tractor and a block and tackle. Nevermind

Like the video, love the persistence. I noticed that you did not compact as you backfilled, is it because of the type soil you have - more like clay? Is that something you were planning on doing before you pour your concrete? I agree, sometimes what looks like just another step in the process ends up taking sooooo long! Good luck and keep up the good work!

I'm happy that you bought a tractor, but in my opinion, you made a huge mistake in purchasing the Kubota brand. They are fine machines, but when you need to repair it, which you will, it is very expensive, if you can even find the parts. Alternatively, other brands are more cost effective to maintain.
