Yes it looks fresh and clean BUT i have never understood why anyone would build a sparce, concrete, Mediterranean style villa when you live in the most lush green and tropical island. It boggles my mind.
@sparcousa

Sadly yeah. Anyways good luck to them maintaining the place during rainy season. Gonna be a big headache in the long run. He kinda mentioned it at 05:50 where others had advised him not to based on their experience. I believe some of their neighbours have similar Mediterranean concept if not mistaken. I just wished the would have at least some bougainvillea in the corners or near the walls as part of the deco. Would definitely bring up more character/contrast to their villa.

The main reason why everyone says don't have a white property is because in the rainy season you get stains from the rain. Stains scarring all the walls from water running down that will look disgusting. This place also needs way more large plants - it's just concrete right now.

Nice place but it looks like some building in Greece, doesn't look like a Balinese. I'd prefer Balinese villas with intricate carvings and rice fields.

My heart goes out to Bali. I have been visiting Bali many times around 10-15 years ago. It was such a beautiful, green and spiritual place with great traditions. Very sad to see rice fields and forests replaced with concrete. This house would look good perhaps in Miami. Keep doing it and in a few years this island will never be the same. Very, very sad....

Coming from a small Med island i can only attest to the devastation these rich immigrants are bringing on our (not theirs) lands it's disgusting. I don't see Bali vibe in their home yet there they are. Also, the chlorine swimming pools these central Europeans are building on a large scale (don't forget, there are 100s more of these couples building swimmingpools) they attract different type of bugs than usual for the climate - in turn and in just 3 years you get all kinds of animals and weeds that are not supposed to be there. No respect for the SEA whatsoever, how could they, they are not native to the Sea. They come from Switzerland and Sweden, from ice and from mountains and they are destroying tropical and Mediterranean lands, one property at a time.

Aren’t there any legislations regulating the buildings etc ? If the government allows it then foreigners will build

I disagree..if anything the balinese are loving what's happening to there island..what makes you think the balinese don't want this? There are already strict laws on where to build. If your the type of person who lives in a highly established country and expect bali to be your personal backyard once a year then your not really interested in what the balinese interest are..just your own

Sorry to hear you feel this way, we also agree that Balinese traditions and nature need to be preserved. There are two sides to every story, we have spoken to many locals about the development Bali is seeing right now and they are excited for the future of their people. A rice terrace might look nice to you but to a local family it is a low paying and extremely intensive and hard working job that I assume you would never want to do yourself. Tourism provides a way forward for a lot of local people. We see what you mean, but you also need to see another perspective.
@awokeadoe

Well im very happy to see that recently planned buildings was canceled because it does not fit into Balinese environment. So the government is aware of that and hopefully with the next election it’s getting more strict on this topic. Nobody even the locals who are exited of the future are happy with a Bali that looses all of its nature because tradition is very strong in the communities. If there is only houses and villas and less nature and tradition they witness a loss of their origins. Nobody wants that. And nobody wants disrespectful tourist who think money buy everything. As it’s the status quo rigth now. There is a reason for that many deportations of western tourists.

Very content creator friendly!! Totally mediterranean, would work well for getting some space from Bali itself when being there, I feel that it is such a totally different aesthetic to Bali that it is almost a little boutique hotel to escape the hustle and bustle of Bali...This will appeal hugely to content creators which is very smart. Well thought out details, this must have been a labour of love and I am sure you are getting plenty of kick back due to the style you have gone with, I wish you much success!
