Chad and Jolene - the aluminum Panel Holder I sent you is telescopic from 14 to 22 inches. End piece to take the heat is made of ductile iron which has a melting point of 2,700 deg F. I worked in a gray and ductile iron foundry for 30 years, so I had that part cast. It can be rotated for either butt or overlap weld joint. Once I put the breast part against the front seat and the black ductile iron end piece against the accelerator, to make the engine idle. Hope to see it used on the channel during welding (to replace your screwdriver with breast pad or hammer handle). We watch your show every night. Chad's content is simply outstanding and my twin brother and I love watching Jolene MIG weld panels. Both very talented and continued success. Harry Schiestel from Ontario, Canada

I think this is what Chad referred to as his 3rd hand/arm (he was using a hammer) when tack welding a plate on an Aussie pickup truck (El Camino). I watched that video a little earlier today.

The Desert Water Bag is something that motorists used to cool the water drinking water while travelling. The evaporating water cools in the wind created by forward motion of the vehicle. I'm 86+ years young, and remember my Dad using one on the front of his 1932 Ford Model B 4-cylinder on a trip from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada to Winnipeg in Manitoba, the next Province east of Sask. Love your program. You do great designs, and good work. Al

The Desert Water Bag is what the old timers used when traveling in their cars. You filled it up with water and hung it on the outside of the car. When driving, the moving air helped cool the water. That was way before coolers were invented.

No offense intended to Jolene, but I just assumed that Jolene not knowing, is a combination of her youth and not living in the US. And possibly she doesn't enjoy watching old classic movies? Even though the movie was released in 1939, I don't have any idea how often it is shown on TV in other countries. In the US, it is shown several times a year on various TV/cable networks.

Desert waterbags are real. People used to hang them on a small frame on the front of their cars so that if you needed a cold drink of water while travelling you stopped and poured yourself a drink out of the bag. Just about all country people in Australia up till the 70s had one.
@firemanack6486

Used them in Arizona, just about half the cars had one on the front. The canvas would weep and by doing so kept the water cool when the wind blew through. Early 80’s

The water bag is the real deal! Back in the day before most folks had good ice chests they could pack in the trunk while driving through the southwest (New Mexico, Arizona, southern Cali) you could buy a water bag at a gas stop, fill it with good (drinking) water and hang it from your car's grill or door handle. The wind blowing through the fabric cooled the water so you'd have cool water to drink!
