2023 has been announced as the International Year of the Millet by the United Nations. India, the leading producer of millet, has spearheaded the initiative. We celebrated an event kickstarting the year of millet in Vienna, Austria. The embassy of India in Austria had arranged a special cooking class where millet-based recipes were taught to Indians and non-Indians. After the cooking session, a large number of guests attended a food-tasting ceremony where everything on their plates was made out of millet. Both events took place at a popular Indian restaurant called Prosi in Vienna.
