Add Bike rack to S442? Will you have easy access to toilet cassette
@rvtravellinghusbands

There are quite a few different arrangements for Bike racks you can get, so just take care in making sure you keep access to the cassette. But after getting a rack on our Daintree & then only taking the bikes sporadically - we decided we weren’t going to get one this time - but now as things progressed it’s a non issue.
I have a question, as you claim old Harvey in episode 27, how come you were getting trading quotes in this episode?

Thanks Robert smith & it’s a valid question (why in Ep 27 did we say Harvey was Sold, yet here we talk about a trade in price) Well, they are both right. Harvey, was on consignment at a Dealer. (So a he had to sell before we saw the negotiated trade in funds) - not like a traditional trade in where we get funds instantly upon agreement.

Than you keith, compared to just the abs & dual airbags in our Renault based Daintree - the standard inclusions are like 3 steps above. I get to use many a heated seat at work & looking forward to having heated seats in the Cab, not to mention better infotainment !

Glad you went the ford. The ford app is great-pre start for those colder mornings remotely- Sync 4 is awesome - safety specs highest in the spec. And long warranty and capped price servicing- the Van looks mint and I’m sure Mum and Dad would go with you for a quick getaway

Yes 🙌 agree thanks Todd - plus at work I drive plenty of rangers/raptors/transit customs & the odd transit, so I’ve become accustomed to the layout & different screens… Ford, Honda & Subaru heated seats work well & faster than most. The habitat is a step up from Harvey… and yes Dad asks every conversation when do we get the new Van!

I knew a Sunliner was on the cards, when I spotted Harvey down at Melbourne RV over a month ago, when I had my first service done on my Navian 601. I didn’t comment on your last video at is would have left the cat out of the bag :) Congratulation.

Thanks Dennis, yeah I’m a stickler for knowing my facts & I don’t mind saying a ‘dab hand’ at throwing together a spread sheet!

Our first motorhome was a Sunliner Odyssey on a Ford Transit 2005 model, 2.4 lt diesel and a great unit for its time. The only slight negatives we had was that the engine noise in the cab was quite loud and certainly nowhere near the relatively quietness of the Daintree, and the bathroom was small with a fold up sink and toilet in the same area.The gear box was quite smooth, a manual automatic similar to the Daintree. Bought it second hand in 2007 but only had 9,000 kms on the clock and paid $118,00- for it then (New ones with a 6-9 month waiting time) were about $135,000 so pricing for todays Sunliners looks very reasonable. Sunnier is a quality build. - Good Luck with your new one.

Cheers Edward! Thank you - yeah we originally looked at a Sunliner Pinto, but as newbies who didn’t know much at the time the Daintree won out & the rest you know about 🤪😜😆. Appreciate the knowledge & recommendation- we are looking forward to it.

We had a Sunliner vibe which the switch supercedes. Was on the Renault chassis and were very happy with it. We have now downsized to the Jayco rm19.1 which is also on the Renault but fwd. Pity they aren't maki ng the switch on the Renault anymore. Good luck with the new purchase.

@@ianw3294 thanks Ian, glad your happy with your Renault based Moho (Vibe & RM19) and we appreciate your positive words on owning a Sunliner. The Renault is smooth & we were more than happy with its touring ability. But with our Daintree’s weight (GVM 3.8T) and our forthcoming Switch being longer & heavy (as one hasn’t been built & the Ford chassis is slightly heavier than the Fiat) it was the FWD & automated manual transmission that left us stranded a couple of times. Looking forward to RWD (weight distribution) & ‘good Ol’ torque converter transmission
