Gonna love to see a review on Z31. As a child I first saw it at a car show inside the New World Centre at Tsimshatsui in Hong Kong back in 1984. I was stunned by the looks of Z31, no matter red, black, silver they all looked great! In particular the half-opened headlights I felt they were something out of the world sexy.

miss my Z31 ... and yes it was futuristic, with all the digital clusters , even the calculation of the fuel/km by the speed you where going at the moment. they even have the voice lady telling you : the passenger side door is open *bip* the fuel is low *bip* hahaha remind me old good memories thanks you

These jdm retro cars are awesome, used to work on some as a teenager. 70s and 80s share the same features and technology. Most significant breakthrough was the introduction of EFI ,replacing carburetor systems, in the late 80s and in early 90s the addition of valve variable timing. In regards to the timing belt change , most of these cars are on shims, with some having more complex tensioning systems. Cheers for a well made tribute to these.

I loved this! Excellent work, Captain! The plush interiors take me back to my childhood. I had a couple of older relatives with cars that had super comfy velour interiors. Throw some plastic on those seats and it would look identical to my great-grandmother’s living room. 😂 The music was such an excellent touch. Ah, this video is full of so much great nostalgia! I would LOVE to get a closer look at the Soarer or Starion in a future video or feature. Well done!

For me the Japanese Car Industry were the peak of the cars in the world during the 70s to the 90s when talking about design, and why not also engineering, because they had a lot of new technologies and amazing design but still are very reliable, and some of them are not even hard to work on, i do not know many things about the cars of the time that were sold on Japan, because for me it's kinda hard to find content about them in english, but all the cars that i saw are awesome. Thanks for the amazing content. 😊

that Z31 in the thumbnail is a 200ZR, not a 300ZX. it's distinguishable by the hood scoop. 200ZR is a version of the fairlady Z with an RB20DET from the skyline instead of the VG30DE found in kouki 300ZX models.
