All Chinese travelers who pass Heathrow Airport in London should be cautious: The Chinese consumers must spend 1000 pounds before receiving a discount coupon, while all other consumers can get the same coupon by spending 79 pounds. Please read the English words in this news:news.ifeng.com/a/20180212/55986716_0.shtml Travelers from the world must be cautious: The USA president just signed a National Security Memorandum that may deny the foreigners who criticized/cursed the USA on internet. Be careful.

I totally agree that Chinese restaurants in the US generally have fresher and safer ingredients, than those in China. The genuine chinese food used to be in cities like san francisco where most old generation chinese immigrants live. Now there are some new restaurants because mainland chinese parents are staying in the US with their visa student children.

if you try to smell the out of date meat from Walmart in the US, and smell the freshest meat in supermarkets in China; you'd realize the out of date meat in Walmart smells fresher. This is because there is not a regulated refrigeration logistical system in China.

Slo Mo I’m one from Fujian province of China. I know a lot of restaurant owners they did try and still trying some real Chinese foods. But most of time customers will try something new, at the end , usually they come back to order what they familiar. The true is American-Chinese Food is a lot bigger market than Chinese food in USA.
@scottwatrous
6 жыл бұрын
What's crazy is that Chinese has been here so long it's developed that Americanized flavor but meanwhile a lot of other foreign styles have come much more recently in history so it comes pretty-much as-is, though still it does get altered somewhat, it's not nearly as extreme of a change as American "Chinese" food. So to change that is a big change for Americans while they are more willing to have a somewhat more 'realistic' Korean or Thai dish. And in part it's because so many Americans are expecting Chinese to be what they are used to, so if they want something "foreign" they are saying "oh lets get Thai" I think it would take a 'rebranding' of Chinese food to really have the authentic dishes take off in the US. Not sure how that would work, but US people really don't know how to find it or what to order when they do. I feel like you'd need to educate people and have very English-friendly places that cater to finding good entry point dishes. I know hot pot is getting more popular even outside cities.
