❤️❤️ it’s sometimes a journey to love your body and feel confident in it thanks (not) to beauty standards in the media :( Recently I’ve found appreciating my body as my “vehicle” in life is more important than focusing on what it looks like. This is one of the reasons why I really love becoming stronger and seeing muscle development as it will practically help me day to day, as opposed to looking “beautiful”. Not sure if this helps you too! ❤️

@@Delidiary I’m crying so it it definitely hit home. Lol I love the idea of a body as a tool and as a vehicle. Seeing you love that helps to reinforce my thoughts and override that beauty standard thinking.

@@andreahale6999 I agree… I find that my body image comes and goes. Sometimes I like how I look and sometimes I don’t. What I work on is accepting that sometimes I’m not going to be enamored with how I look, and that’s ok. When I don’t love how I look, I try to just… avoid looking. I’m a pretty serious athlete and I’ve done some really hard workouts, and I like to think to those too. Not as a pride that I’m working out and I have to work out, cause that’s not a healthy way to think, but more that I’m really proud my body enabled me to get through those workouts. Not everyone was able to finish them, and I finished with results I was proud of. So even if I don’t like how I look in that moment, I know my body is helping me to perform just as much as if I liked how I looked

Being so open about testing is honestly just what I needed to see right now. On Thursday I had my first coil put in and nobody told me what it would be like to have my body examined the way it would be or opened up like that or that it would even be painful to have my coil inserted. I went straight in the deep end and got really scared. I've never had a smear test before because I'm not old enough and the nurse had to reassure me that when I got my smear done it would be nothing like the coil fitting and that it wouldn't hurt and that I shouldn't let this different procedure scare me away from my check ups. I think there definitely needs to be more education about these tests and about the procedures people with uteruses can have and what to expect. I definitely feel more confident about my future tests now seeing you do this.

We also had to move a tone of furniture into the small kitchen area so the carpet could dry. To top it off. The unit under us has water coming from the roof 🤦🏼♀️. It happened a further two times after this, thankfully not as bad. And I managed to catch it before it flooded into carpet again.

I love watching these homey videos they are my favourite! I also love that you not only talked about having a pap smear but you showed your face during the process, I love that women are talking about it more!

Maddie, Love your curtains and blinds. Like your new stuff Haul. I think Pyrex is awesome too. I am in America. We call it a Pap smear. And it is recommended for women over the age of 18 once a year. I think I had my first one when I was 16. And once a year ever since. I am so, so proud of you for sharing yours. I hope it encourages others to get theirs done. I think you were very brave. I also know that that proves how far you’ve come in dealing with your anxiety! Congratulations!!! I suffer from extremely severe anxiety and depression. I don’t think a pap test is at big deal, but it still makes me anxious. I am so proud of you and here’s to you continuing to help others for many years to come.

That lady bits story was hilarious... I'm on the bigger size lady and I use a shower chair to sit on to "dehair myself" lol thank you for the laugh :D, Also, Pap tests help detect cervical cancer which I had pre cancerous lesions in July 2005 that were removed. I go every 2 years, since having my Hysterectomy I don't have to worry about cervical changes and I no longer have one but I still need pap tests to make sure my vagina walls stay healthy :D

Lovely curtains! The bowls you purchased (4) are to be stacked within each other. Remove the lids. Stack the smallest bowl in the next largest bow. Add the small lid to the bowl. Place the next largest bowl within the larger bowl. Add the lid. Place all bowls within the latest bowl and add the lid. Easy to store when they are within each other.

I LOVE the curtains, they look so good! Also my dog would have barrelled right through those pots 😂 And as someone with PCOS and endometrial hyperplasia I love being open and honest about reproductive health! Pap tests and regular check ups are so important and we need to end the stigma around it. For fellow people of size: they may ask you to lie on your side instead of your back, and hold your leg up to do the test. At least that's what I do ☺

I have those Pyrex bowls and they are great we use them for everything - mixing bowls, food storage, taking stuff to potluck/bbq (that was more in the before times)

The curtains and blinds really uplifted the rooms!! They were great choices!! I haven't gotten my curtains done yet. But this video was really an eye opener to what I would like to do with my curtains. 😄😄

You two are doing such a good job with getting your house to where you want it. I felt the same when I got my blinds and curtains in my flat. They bring the space together. Got my Pap in April...and I do the same pre-appoitment care too ;P. I'm building the Lego Medieval Castle right now
