Hey Brandon looks like Little Dick took care of the problem 👍. I am still amazed how sandy your soil is.

Hello Brandon! I heard you say this farm has a compaction issue. I'd sure like you to do a detailed post(s) about keylining or subsoiling - whatever you call it in your neck of the woods. It would be great if you can expose more people to what it is, how it's done and why. Sure appreciate all the knowledge you share. All the best 😊

I cannot take credit for originating the term in my “Field Carrot” comment. I first heard that term on Dirt Perfect channel quite a while ago. I think it was either Farmer Chris, MBTS, or NYA Millennial that coined the term lol

Do you ever call miss dig before you did? Near Edwardsburg Michigan a backhoe operator got killed when he was digging to install a irrigation system, when he hit a very large high pressure gas line. And you could hear the roar of the gas line for miles.

A hundred or so years ago neighbors fought each other to make sure that nobody cheated the other on getting water. Now they fight each other over whos draining too much water onto someone elses land without permission. 😋

05:03 is that “mini richard “? wow that was deep water! it is great how you are able to do a uniform depth tapered to the water for a great flow to the ditch! what a unique skill. I liked how you set up the direction by using the tracks. it keeps you “ on the straight and narrow” directly on track :-}

Interested to see what you do for the tile. I've only done one field. Worked out well enough but there are still some wet spots if it rains a lot.

Any specific reason you dug towards the pond? I thought you woulda pulled grade away from the wet spot so you could use the water in the trench to check grade as you go and ensure things flow....just curious

It's not a wetland. It's just a wet spot caused by drainage of another field
