You should make a separate space for the turkeys. They need to be able to get out of the rain or they will drown. They won't fit into the chicken door. They shouldn't be w your laying hens. They will hurt them. I raised birds for 30 years. We never mixed them together.

The chickens looove sand bathing! Maybe you wanna build them a little box and put in very fine sand mixed with diatomaceous earth and they'll take care of themselves by bathing in there. I saw a friend of mine doing it like this and it works flawless! Lot of good wishes!

Mel & Gary, this month I got myself a 2 wheeled scooter, so now I can get around without taking the bus or getting rides from neighbors. I have been going to a hardware store about a mile past Walmart. That extra mile takes me past a very well cared for graveyard, it even has a pond that has swans and usual migrating geese. I remember you and Gary were saying all fowl can get the mites from the soil, so my question is, usually you will see birds giving themselves a "dust bath" or like these swans and geese, swimming in the pond. With Bobblehead and Syd there, ask if a very small kiddy pool would help out your chickens and turkeys. It could be a good way for them to cool down in the Summer! As far as helping control the mites, talk with Syd and Bobblehead! ❤❤

Radishes are good cut in 1/4" slices and butter, or olive oil-roasted in the oven. It reduces their hotness too.

13:03 for the strawberries to keep the bugs off, put a red cup over the plant, put the diamatatious earth on the dirt around the cup, then remove the cup. If you can do it without the cup protecting the leaves that will be good too. The DE is a pest control too, a lot of pest control places use it for roaches as well, get the kind that is food grade.

I can remember the zucchini harvests when I was a kid. The joke was that you needed to lock your car and keep the windows rolled up, or the neighbors would fill it with zucchini. 😀 Hopefully you'll have a bonus crop of EVERYTHING this season!

If you don't pull your radishes while they are medium size, they will be corky inside. They won't taste good. My dad an mom taught me that. My dad had a huge garden , he upse to grow everything he had a green thumb. Thats what they say when the things you planted produced what it was meant to produce. I know you probably already know what i mean. ROX USES MERICAL GROW ON HER GARDEN. I SAW HER THIS MORNING, AND THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID SHE DID . I LOVE 🍓 strawberries also. If you say here chick chick chick that is the way you call them to come to you. When i was growing up that is what my mom an dad use to say to get them to come to them. Then throw down some chicken feed in front of them. Where ever you walk they will follow. They are so cute though. No we don't mind it is all good gary. Always love the stroll. Take care. ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊

I've seen on some other channels, the tires burried about 1/3, so they remain firm. Baby goats love them and if they are close enough, jump from one to another. Also, when you take that big tree on the lawn down, save big chunks to stack randomly and make a mountain. Probably put them down where you eventually will extend thier paddock to. I like how you are adding new varieties to your flock so they are a true barnyard mix. Really fun to look at.

Chicks look great Hey Gary, did you think about putting maybe a one by 12 across the entrance of the doorway on the inside that way you can let the chicks run but as you step out they haven’t figure out how to fly over that yet and you can just step over it and you won’t have to worry about them running out the door behind you

Am I the only one these days who always heats peas and beans because of Lectine in it? Raw is not so good as you might think. Even carrots are better cooked, as the Betacaroteen comes out under heat. Good to see you are self sufficient. And I really like your movies, showing that you go ahead.
