Vigan is actually located in Ilocos Sur and not Ilocos Norte! Vigan City is the capital of the Province of Ilocos Sur whereas Laoag City is the capital of the Province of Ilocos Norte! I wish you were able to see Cape Bojeador Lighthouse in Burgos, Ilocos Norte because it's such a beautiful and romantic place for a sweet couple like you guys! Next time, you may wanna do a road trip from Quirino Province to Ilocos Sur or from Ilocos Sur to Mountain Province and take one of the most scenic roads in Ilocos Region which is the Tagudin - Cervantes - Sabangan Road and check out the Bessang Pass Natural Monument and Tirad Pass National Park!

I have been to Ilocos Norte, but because of time constraints, I and my officemates were limited to the Palace of the North, Ilocos Norte Convention Hotel, Paoay Church and Governor's Office. We would love to go to the Bangui windmills and sand dunes but maybe at some future time.

One of the challenging mountain to climb in the Philippines is in Salsona Ilocus Norte, the Mt Sicapoo. And with a famous penguin look-like rock at the summit. A 3 days hike traversing Mt. Timarid and Mt. Simmagaysay. Ilocus norte isn't just famous in its coastlines and beaches, lots of mountain peaks around the area which is part of the cordillera mountain range.

Vigan City is in Ilocos Sur. The Capital city. Laoag City is the Capital of Ilocos Norte. You should also experience the Bambanti Festival in Isabela next time. It's a Hall of Famer in ALIW AWARDS Festival Practice and Performance. Much more colorful, cultural, gustatorial, creative over all, and with dancing more awesome than dinagyang in or any other festival in the country. Those who have experienced it say it's the biggest and really jaw-dropping!

Sadly, music forms and custumes mostly are borrowed from the south(mindanao). The ilokano(north) essence is lost.
@solidpas761
Ай бұрын
Lol how? Maybe it's the other way around, south borrowed everything from the north. A lot of Ilokanos are in Mindanao for what I know.

if the PH wants more tourism around the country they really need to improve transportation infrastructure. it's a big mistake if the PH govt is cutting ties with China because China are the kings of infrastructure development
