This is obviously a VERY different style video than or normal Sunday uploads but I just wanted to say, we had much fun recording this! Typically when we do a Q&A video we blast through as many questions as possible but taking our time and really chatting through our answers felt so nice. Believe it or not, the FULL version of this video was over an HOUR long...what do we all think? Are we all finally ready for the Podcast?? 🤔. Also, we meant what we said...any other questions you have we'll do our absolute best to get back to you in the comment section. PS. Did you catch that NEXT Sunday the container home is starting again?! EEEEEK!!! See you Sunday xoxo

Greetings from Chiapas, Mexico. It was really frowned upon for many years, as well as illegal in Mexico, as well. Now since 2017 we have marriage equality, too. Holding things up were a combination of church and a macho society. Perseverance is the correct word. I'm 68 years old and I never thought I'd see these huge changes in my lifetime here. A beautiful thing I learned from Todd.. I remember being mad at Tyler for snapping at Todd in the RV when he was dealing with vegetables and in a mood. Todd backed off and gave Tyler space to work it out. instead of snapping back, like most of us would likely do. I was so impressed. I noticed even it Todd's feelings were hurt or not, right after they were fine and happy and it was over,, like over.. not talked about or drug out. it just didn't exist. It was a life lesson for me that sometimes a person just needs the space to work something out and they deserve that space.. Thanks Todd and Tyler.. and Tyler, you cute handsome man, I was mad only for that second until I witnessed what true love looked like from that experience. xooxxo who could be mad at either one of you precious people.

"What NOT To Do" is EXACTLY what people want to know! As power / utility costs increase exponentially over the next few years - more and more people will be following your track - if they can. I predict such a book - or series of podcasts { or both} will be so popular, that alone may pay for all your current investments! 😅👍 Yes - having power and water is massive. In the early '80's my husband & I lived off grid for around 18 months in a caravan. We had a gas stove and fridge and a back up diesel generator { which we tried to use sparingly }. We rigged a sheet iron free standing port over the caravan so that we could have rainwater run off into a 500ltr tank, and then built a mudbrick little adjoining cottage to use as a lounge / diner (with a woodfire pot belly cast iron stove / heater} - which also gave us more rain water catchment for a 1,000 gallon tank. We also had a winter creek running through the 7acre bush block and dug a dam, but in summer we were still driving up a bush track into the hills to a bigger creek, to fill our water containers and haul back. VERY Heavy work. We then purchased an old weatherboard { wooden paling } farmhouse on 12 acres that had 3 acres of ancient brambles overgrown apple orchard & moved there. It had Power! & Town Water! I remember running around the house for the first few weeks delighted and flicking taps and light switches on and off - laughing like a amazed cavewoman! 🤣😅

Tyler - Todd: the question and comments on how your relationship being shown on KZitem allows those who are straight to see that you are in a healthy loving relationship were very accurate. Straight granny here and you two do that. Have you looked at what is out there? Now this is not negative judgement - I view a lot of channels with Trans people, Drag Queens, Kink tutorials, Stoner comedians but when a straight person with little exposure to LBGT community sees only glimpses of the prior, their view of the community is skewed. You guys are the balance. My 8 year old granddaughter has started watching some of your shows with me (sorry not you guys - it is the fur babies she loves (oh and I love the innuendo which goes right over her head so don't stop)) but it allowed her to ask "Are they married to each other?" yes and "Can two guys get married?" yes and "Huh - they love each other?" yes and "They act just like mom and dad." End of conversation but it was a crucial positive one for her. Thank you for that opportunity.

I'm going to pipe in here in regards to the comment that the person from Uruguay made about the contribution you guys are making to the LGBTQ space. I'm not a part of that community, so I can't speak to the impact you're having there, but I can tell you that the way you guys come across, so loving, caring and supportive of each other is delightful for everyone who watches you. Most content that has a gay couple goes for revving up the drama of any conflicts that they can find to exploit, or on the flip side, it shows only the boring and mundane interactions that are nice, but uninteresting. The fact that you guys are so open with your affections and support for each other physically, mentally and emotionally, coupled with the joy we can see the two of you share in the relationship and topped off with the fact that you actually laugh a lot together... it just doesn't get better than that for showing a healthy, fun relationship, imo. :) I personally think that you guys are wonderful and I can't wait for each new video to come out just to get a chance to spend some time with ya. :) /hugs to you both, and the fur babies!

I love that no matter the style of video, every video of yours is so enjoyable! I wanted to ask a question, but felt like I could never come up with a good enough one! All those questions were great, and I laughed so hard at the fact the pets hang out in the outhouse when you have some fun! Haha!!! You guys are fantastic!!

I had not thought about what a great example you present as a 'gay' couple. To me you are just a loving couple doing such exciting and innovative things in the way you choose to live. But that question and your response was spot on. It is people like you that break down stereotypes and combat prejudice just by living your life.

I forget how quickly you both have created this magnificent life that you live. I'm speaking as someone that's almost forty and just getting the courage to live life on my own terms. I really do hope that you both take the time to acknowledge how badass you are. Kudos to you and whoever or whatever influenced your strength, fortitude, and giant cojones.

Hi from Beachville Ontario ! My husband and I watch your videos every week and really enjoy seeing the progress on your beautiful property and how happy your furbabies are. Rob and I would very much like to see a cost breakdown on your projects when they are finished. You guys have one of the healthiest and most authentic relationships I have seen gay or straight! This is coming from someone who has been married for 44 years and counting. Rest up and enjoy each other and Charlie, Eddie and Lily! See you next Sunday!🤗💕

I really liked Bettina's comment from Uruguay. I would add that your channel isn't just helpful for straight people too see a healthy gay relationship, but I think it's even more important that young LGBTQ people see it. Too often our young LGBTQ folks don't have opportunities to see what their future could look like. KZitem isn't perfect, but it has been great for showing us all how much we have in common and it's nice to focus on that rather than what separates us.

What is it a wise person once said? You need to take time to smell the roses. I’ve always taken this to mean that sometimes you need to stop and take a moment to appreciate what’s around you. And, my friends, you deserve and should take this time. You’ve been working so hard. You’ve achieved so much! It’s been a real pleasure to watch what’s going on. And, let’s face it, a new phase of hard work and projects is about to begin, so I hope this was all restorative! Thank you for another wonderful insight into the sheer delight that is you: I’ve had a hell of a week in which I’ve found out I’m going to lose my home, so thank you so much for the epic distraction and moment out from my life. Love xxx

I'm always amazed. How you both can make me feel like I came over to a friend's house to hang out. You are so warm and welcoming. I can't believe how fast the time goes by. Listening to you explain how and why you do something in a certain way. To me, it is fun and interesting, along as informative. Every week, I just can't wait to see your next post. Keep up the great work.

Hi, it is such a joy to be able to watch you both every week. I lost my companion of 32 years a couple of years ago, so I love being the "fly-on-the-wall" each week and seeing you just live your life. You have such a wonderful balance together. It's great to see that you have figured out how to be yourselves together. I also love those moments where you don't see the things the same way, but you are able to get thru them without losing you sense of humor, most of the time. 👍You both have so much work left to do and I will be watching every week. Make the most of every moment. You deserve it.

Everytime I watch y'all I'm so proud that there are guys like you two representing the LGBTQ community. I refer to y'all as "my boys" just because I so damn proud of and for you two. I love watching you guys and how you are pulling together an incredible homestead in the wilds of Canada. A podcast would be awesome! You are one of a few gay You Tube content creators that I watch on a regular basis and all of you do a fantastic job in setting an example of appropriate behavior in the LGBT community as in the past there has not been such guidance on this topic. It also goes a long ways in showing to the rest of the world in who we truly are as we beg for outsiders to not judge us like a cover on a book. The LGBT community has come a long ways in the last 30 years but there are still many challenges that need to be dealt with and with time I feel confident that those challenges will be resolved. Many of us are single and are very content in being so just like many heterosexuals but I will never forget those who I knew when I was younger who took their own lives because they could not deal with who they were. Like many of the other gay You Tube content creators who I watch I cannot thank the both of you enough for all of your hard work on showing the rest of the world who we truly are. Thank you!!

OMG, you two are amazing!!! I live for Sunday. I love that you are real and never think about being what this society calls politically correct. I am sure there are a lot of straight people that have a new outlook on the LBGT community. I was married at 18, and two kids later at 26 I finally realized and accepted who I am. But, I brought two lives into this world, It was my responsibility to raise them in a family environment. I was married to my wife for 25 years. We divorced when my oldest graduated high school. My wife and I have always been best friends. I have been single now 14 years enjoying the life I always wanted. I learned the real definition of the word "drama" it is refreshing you don't have any. You have an amazing relationship. When you have disagreements you work it out. Now days people do not understand that you can agree to disagree. Your program has all the best that hopefully I will be doing also. I want a partner that I can grow old with, someone that I can also go out to the outhouse with... Also I am in the very early stage of building a shipping container house, and also go off grid. If you need a break from winter, come to Fort Lauderdale Florida. You would love it here. We have a large gay community with lots to do and be very comfortable. When you do, let me know I can show you around. One more thing... When putting in the heated floor two shows ago, I almost wet myself watching you. Hmmm I almost want to ask the question what were you smoking??? It was hysterical. Thank you for being you. Bob

I loved Bettina's question/comment. It is so true, you are showing people who haven't had any experience with having a gay friend, that you have relationships like everyone else. And that you two are adorable🤗. You two should check out Joel Wood and Keegan Hirst, he's a sports star, they each have their own channels and are a couple. They are on each other's channels sometimes. Neither of them have been out that long, only a few years.
