It’s nice to see a woman who isn’t acting stupid. This gal actually understands the gear. Well done technical video. And regarding the comments about safety gear; from a woman who’s been an engineer for 37 years... the comments should be aimed at the Metal Cloak staff. They are the pros. They should make sure anyone working in their shop follows basic safety practice.

Good choice of lifts. I made the unfortunate mistake of getting a Rough Country 3.25 lift on my previous 13' JK. It was absolute garbage and cause issues right up until I got rid of the Jeep. The company didn't want to help out either, so I suggest anyone who is looking, to spend the extra cash and avoid lots of headaches.

did the same with 37's, a little to harsh for me on gravel/dirt 2 tracks. going to put the 3.5" MC coils in. What is your opinion on your TF ride? I will keep the falcon 2.1 but just change out coils.
@brianh.4801

Jeff huschitt You’ll want to make sure your tire pressure is 28-30 psi max with these and any 37” tire. Makes a 100% difference in ride. The TF springs are a little stiff for most people’s taste. My lift is a tad high for me. (Ended up being a true 3.5”). If you want a great lift with good shocks... look at the dynatrac 2”. Comes with fox shocks. You could then sell whichever shocks you don’t want to keep.

At the same time I was marveling at how technically literate and well researched your mods are presented. And Lite Brite as a 'presenter' effortlessly dialogues the process. Bravo ! She is an excellent role model for women and men ! I understand that your location is prime for off roading, but the after market does present a wide variety of choices. Maybe you could mention in passing how you decided on one product over another, seperating the diamonds from the coal. It does appear that all your choices are top quality and very well manufactured. So why the front drive shaft? My OEM JLU DS has zero clearance issues with your exact MetalCloak lift. I've already run the Rubicon twice, Barrett Lake trail twice, and done a fair amount of the Sierra Butts. No issues. Is it the UnderCloak system or exhaust crossover that gets too close or is MC worried about the Rzeppa joint self clearancing and imploding? I will change my shafts once I install my UD60's, but this would be good info for folks, as the aftermarket is not suggesting driveshaft changes like they did with the JK.

For those that think the RockSport Lift package shown in this video more expensive than Rough Country, I am seeing it listed at $1,400 on MetalCloak's page. This is a reasonable price if you compare it other lift kits out there. here is the link: www.metalcloak.com/JK-Wrangler-True-Dual-Rate-Lift-Kit-RockSport-p/7127.htm That lift kit and the skids for $1000 is really a steal in my opinion. here is the link to the skids: www.metalcloak.com/Undercloak-Armor-Skid-Plates-JL-Wrangler-4-Door-p/6360.htm

After seeing so many over-stuffed wheel-wells on the net, It's nice to see a well proportioned lift/tire combination on a JLU ! Brittany you deserve a good (form fitted) mechanic's jump-suit to work on this JEEP. Have you guys re-geared the diffs ? Your Dayna's are stout - unlike the 30's on the front of JK's, but re-gearing would assist when pulling away from a stop as will as lower that all -important craw ratio.

Gary Button So far regearing hasn’t been necessary, she still has great power and cruises at 80mph through the passes just fine!
@onefastcyclist

The larger tires produce taller over-all gearing which will net 80mph at a lower RPM. However, after seeing your first day wheeling in California, I'm convinced that your JKU came with a 4.10 ratio rather then the 3.73 or the V/6 now has a LOT more power.
@onefastcyclist

Kevin, you are in a position to look at your tachometer and speedometer and compare the readings to this chart for the V6: www.extremeterrain.com/regear-jeep-wrangler-explained. Hopefully, with the additional ratios of the new 8 speed, your JL will beat this chart!
