I think I am with you Graham. The Mackerel was good but the other thing looked it had come of the end of a harbour wall, to be polite about it. Shame about the cairn I hope it gets restored.

I think that with most forms of art, you sort of have to be in the mood so that you can be "attuned" to what the artist \ sculptor \ musician is trying to achieve. some of those at the art centre looked good, some a bit strange. But on another day, maybe they would be the other way around? Sorry blathering now!! That looked like one of the best weather days that you had - a lovely walk up to the cairn and what a crying shame that it hasn't been maintained or restored. And incredible location though, those views are stunning. Such a gorgeous area to travel through - so many being added to our list lately!!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Think you are right about the art. I think we often feel that art should make you feel good after looking at it. But Sometimes it’s about making the viewer feel disturbed and uncomfortable. The cairn is definitely worth a visit even though it’s a bit dilapidated. It will be a sad loss if it crumbles away. Take care ❤️👍😊

What a lovely place to visit. Art is very subjective. Have you seen the image "Young lady or old lady"?

Hi Chris. It really is. You have to be in the mood! Thanks for watching and commenting. I have seen that image. Luckily I saw the young face first. It must mean I’m young at heart 😉🤣. Safe travels ❤️👍😊

What a beautiful place, I wasn't keen on the first art neither but loved the mackerel on the beach, that is a work of art! I get your drift Graham about the opening, I know what It reminds me of but I think that's what it supposed to be! As usual, little Jazz is her naughty self and running amok, she makes me laugh! Anyhow, another great vlog and love to the doggos! xxx

Hi Rachael. The exhibition was a bit disturbing and uncomfortable . But I suspect that was the idea. The mackerel was beautiful wasn’t it? Not sure about the other thing 😉🤣. The girlies loved it all and enjoyed proceedings with enthusiasm as they always do 😉. Take care 👍❤️😊

Incredible scenery guys and another amazing vlog. It's a little "bleak" for us but understand why you visit. A little worrying to see the ferry leaving port with It's bow door still open. I recall the Zebrugge incident only too well!! Stay safe. Sid and Nicola, Rugby

Hi Sid and Nicola. Thanks for watching and commenting. It’s been said that the OH are a bit like marmite. Totally get why you think they are a little bleak. There are vast swathes of open roughness with not a house in sight. Not many trees either! But there’s something so magical about the place too that it’s really got under our skin. Can’t really describe it and it’s definitely not for everyone! Safe travels ❤️👍😊

Wow, your trip to North Uist looks incredible! 🤩 I'm a little bummed you couldn't go inside the burial chamber, that would have been so cool! The art installations were definitely interesting...I'm not totally sure how I feel about them 🤔. Honestly, I'm most excited to see the bear hunt!! 🐻 Can't wait for the next vlog!

Looked like there were some lovely gifts and spotted biscuits! The fish looked good - so clever how they imagine and then create them. The pottery looked lovely and it’s great when you find things like that. Shame about the cairn. Have a lovely weekend - All the best, David & Rachel ❤

How cool was the fish 🐠 Some cute little places to visit & I liked the shoreline stoneware. Good job it was winter, or wee jazz would have lots of tic friends after her romp through the Heather 😂 She knows what she wants doesn’t she 🤭 Thanks, Em 💜
