February, 1945. Germany is on the retreat, the Luftwaffe has all but collapsed, and Allied fighters rule the skies. Somewhere near Saarbrücken, a lone fighter takes off from a makeshift airfield. Low on ammunition, fuel and with a badly maintained aircraft, the pilot knows this will be his last flight. Somewhere over Lorraine, an Allied fighter engages in combat with a plane sporting german insignia. Bullets tear through the German's engine, but the pilot manages to lower his stricken aircraft onto an open field. The plane touches the ground, ripping of a wing and spinning out of control, as the pilot struggles to maintain control, before it grinds to a halt. Only the soft murmur of falling snow and the cautious footsteps of a single deer are heard in the lonely night. For the German, the war is over.

Quick question, what sims/source material did you use that ended up in your swapping between the F-E models of the 109? Loved the video BTW, perfectly encapsulates how 90% of my sorties felt when I first started WW2 sims.

Songs name is "We'll meet again by The Ink Spots"
@empath69
4 жыл бұрын
No, the song's NAME is "We'll Meet Again". It was written by two British songwriters, and originally recorded by Dame Vera Lynn for the 1943 film of the same name; the Ink Spots later covered this in 1949. If you're going to try to correct someone else with information you BELIEVE is true, at LEAST get the most elementary facts correct (i.e. the TITLE of the song) (it's a truism that 'when one tries to correct someone else on their error, the correcting party invariably makes another error of their own', and I'm worrying what *I* screwed up! ;D )
