In North America those radios can be found branded as Thomas Collectors editions. They were made in the late 80s, I think. I have a cathedral model that I installed a $4 bluetooth board and used 2 tv speakers from a broken lcd tv from the garbage. If I ever see your model, I will definitely use your idea.

Loved this video. Took your idea. Made my own. Turned out great. Cut out the tape deck are and made it fit the Bose I installed in it and be able to control it also added dimmable led to the old face dial.

Would it not work with just the dot speaker which is quite good, why the addional speaker. Although when i just used alexa sound was muffled but i suspect with another speaker it would still be muffled. I did remove the piece of hardboard from behind the grill cloth.

Ive done this with an identical replica radio that no longer works, i just put my alexa inside it but sound is muffled , guess needs another speaker like this one.

Clearly that radio isn't from the 30s, it's one of those replicas. What used to be on the right hand side of that radio, a tape deck?
