But since you think I'm doing this for sympathy I guess I can't change your opinion 🤷 Second thing I wanna add is that linking park has showed us that sometimes when you are on your lowest you could write music and express yourself, Chester was asking for help on his music but he was also trying to help his fans who where going through the same thing.

It doesn't sound stupid. Not at all. I'm 44. His voice carried me through some rough times as well. Might've lost myself somewhere along the way if it weren't for their music and Chester's lyrics and voice. When he, NoLifeShaq, said "the world was hurting when he died" it brought the pain up again. These are the sad passings i can think of at the moment. Of course, theres many more who passed before i got in to metal music but the above are some of the deaths that hit me at the time. Some more than others. I have also lost all my family except my mum, who has dementia, so you could say i have lost her really. Shes in care and 'end of life'. Today, 7/20, is 2 years that Chester passed. The song is about parents putting pressure on their children to be "more like them". Hence they become "numb" from every step that they take is another mistake. "You were just like me with someone disappointed in you" And if you didn't know about Chester voice you need to listen to the songs where he screams. Given up especially, eerie subject matter now tho RIP Chester the GOAT

Chester Forever. There is an infinite number of ways to interpret the song. This comes along with any truly great song, imo. But if you're still reading, and you're lost. Let's celebrate. Your problems won't go away, but you don't need to either. I'm here brother, or sister. No judgement or advice. Chester wanted to spread love and understanding. I want to do the same in his memory. Anybody else who has read this but won't send a message, you are loved. Stay strong. You have value beyond anything you may ever understand. You are loved. This goes for everybody.

Linkin Park came in to my life at exactly the right time. I don’t remember a time when I have not battled depression and anxiety. I was about 17 or 18 when I first heard one step closer and it was like Chester’s voice latched on to the emotions I was feeling, I felt understood. When I listened to the whole album I felt like I wasn’t alone. I didn’t feel comfortable talking with the people in my life about it. Linkin Park really did help get me where I am today 20+ years later. I crank Linkin Park as high as it will go and sing/ scream along with Chester and Mike until I have no voice left

They pissed off the Clintons. Check out the documentary that Chris and Chester were working on; they were actively trying to help children in Haiti who were being trafficked. The documentary was meant to raise awareness and funds; however, the Clinton Foundation has a massive amount of control in Haiti which has been found to be a cover for child trafficking. Chris and Chester got too close to the truth and hence the coincidence of both being found dead by alleged suicide. That's why Chester's widow demanded an investigation and quickly dropped it, likely out of fear that it may endanger her children. The whole thing is heartbreaking and sickening.
