I like the stone walkway that leads into the red brick, my vote is to replace the brick and continue on with the pavers, just my idea. I'm jealous, you have thunder and lightning!!! Thank you so much for the tour this morning. I enjoyed watching you and Benjamin, he is just too cute. Thank you guys. Have a blessed day.

Wow, what a difference with those trees gone. In a good way. It really is a kind of burden to nurse an ailing plant, knowing it's probably not going to make it, or putting up with a nuisance plant, like the oaks. I can imagine your relief at having both gone. As much as you love the weeping willow, I wondered whether you'd plant another. We planted one this March and it's more than quadrupled in size in less than six months. Already, the space around it has that magical. secluded feeling that only a tree like it can bring. And, I do love the idea of the stacked rock wall. So now, you have open space to fill and are fresh from the garden show, full of inspiration and new energy. So much promise in this garden. Great to see Benjamin and Russell, in full command of his demesne. Enjoy the rain. ~ Lisa

Lovely video Laura! Benjamin is such a little cutie and you can tell how much he loves being in the garden with his mommy and daddy. An adorable baby boy :) Your garden is looking beautiful and that weeping willow is so gorgeous! I totally know what you mean about removing the trees. A few weeks ago we had a tree removed in our garden, we loved that thing so much (we even used to put Christmas lights around it during the holidays) but in the end it just took up way too much space. We were sad to see the tree go, but I have to be honest, we're enjoying having more space in the garden 💚💚💚

I have seen quite a lot of home garden tour videos, but somehow yours stand out for me. I loved the area with the oak trees, but it still looks good without them. I love the gazebo and I think an open air patio(without any tree branch above it like the other one) with a fireplace in the space around those two brick pathways would feel great. Warmth is something that brings whole family together when it gets cold, and I feel that spending time together by the fireplace in the patio would be great. I love how you design your garden without taking away the essence of a home. And Benjamin is just adorable.

I'm seeing your garden with a whole new perspective. I love getting to see Benjamin for an extended period. Looks like he's teething. So cute how mom "understands" his conversation. @@NoOneHere2Day No. I respectfully disagree. A *LOT* of us are regulars in the comments section and we can tell you, first hand, there were a *LOT* of (in my opinion) whiny, smelly, hippy (dead) tree huggers who dropped in on this channel just to guilt Laura over removing damaged, nearly dead trees from her property. She's even tried to address them (way more politely than I would have) but they still persist. It's confounding. Well, actually, it's just trolling but I think they're finally under control. PS: gay men are allowed to call insane, diseased-tree-hugging liberals "smelly hippies." Kisses, Jake. :) (None of that was directed at you. Please don't misunderstand that.) /rant

Completely understand what you mean about the challenges/annoyances of the Oak. My mother has a neighbor that has a Sycamore tree out front. It’s huge and a pest. It drops and sheds bark about every 2nd year and leaves a mess all over my mom’s front yard. It also drops dead leaves every month of the year. It’s impossible to have a neat tidy garden because of the tree. My mom is 82 and I do all her yard maintenance for her. I wish lightening would strike the tree, but I’m not that lucky. Moral of this story for anyone, Don’t plant a Sycamore tree. 😩😠🤦♀️
