When I was young myself and my family would go on vacation . There were 5 kids and 2 adults. We stopped along the highway at roadside picnic tables to have lunch. My Dad would tell us when we were all through eating he would make us police the area, picking up trash. It wasn't our trash, but he would always say " Leave it cleaner than it was when you got there". Maybe someone should make some signs for those who need reminders.

you are right it never gets old here in Wisconsin we have a practice bombing range near Nekoosa I believe New Miner is the closest little town too it we discovered it back in the early 70’s when I was about 10 while camping with my family I was too young too know what kind of planes they used back then. but in the early 80’s I worked for a crop dusting company that sprayed crops in that area and I believe they had F14’s then and we had too keep an eye out for them while mixing the chemicals for the pilot’s and loading their airplanes and Helicopters because they have the right of way and the crop dusters needed too know if they were in the area they are a squadron from Texas and Wisconsin is their playground they come up here a fly around and use the range. now they have A10 warthog planes they come up here with and it is still fun too watch them

Hey !! From East Tennessee near NC line. I'm a 75yr old great grandmother and just today found you channel. I also follow AB CAMPING out of New Zealand. When I was a young lady with two boys our favorite vacation with camping. One summer I had ordered a tent and it did not come at the designated time. So! I went to our local home supply and bought the heaviest clear plastic they had , several, and I mean several yards of ski rope a big bag of clothes pins .I took off with my two boys to paint Creek. We found a place that had plenty of trees where I could tie ski ropes and make my tent. I had several coolers full of ice. I had a large canvas tarp that I made into a kitchen. We stayed there for 3 weeks. Their dad worked on a super gang for the railroad but on the weekend he would bring up more ice. And firewood. I have had the privilege of visiting seven different countries in Europe but this vacation with my two boys was the best vacation I've ever had. I'm like you I do love the Jets. When I was a little girl my dad's favorite Sunday pastime was to visit the airport in Nashville. He was in college at Trevecca. So very early in my life I learned to love airplanes and especially Jets. You sure have a beautiful wife. So right now I'm watching the camp set up next to a military base. Very interesting. I intend to go back and catch up on all of the ones that are on KZitem. Thanks for sharing

The rifle range is a totally different operation from flight ops. There is no pattern, just a structure. Regarding rifle fire, it's annual training for all Marines, and it goes pretty much year-round in most weather. You have to cycle thousands of Marines through their annual rifle and pistol qualification, and it goes in relays, in groups determined by the number of targets on the firing line, usually around twenty or so. So for the rifle, Monday through Thursday each relay shoots 200 slow fire, 200 rapid, 300 slow, 300 rapid, and 500 slow, moving to each firing berm, then the next relay, and so on until everybody has fired. Then on Friday it's combat shooting, again in relays. As for aircraft, there are many squadrons of nominally twelve F/A-18 Hornets or AV-8B Harriers in various stages of readiness, plus C-130's, helos, Ospreys, etc, plus cargo aircraft that fly in and out on their own schedules, some T-34 trainers, a couple of small passenger aircraft used by the brass and government visitors, and some aircraft from other services coming into MCAS Cherry Point for various reasons. The home-based squadrons each have different training and operational requirements they need to maintain, plus check flights, maintenance flights, and high and low power turns on the runway and in the hush houses. So no, you're not going to discover any particular pattern other than there's not a lot of night flights compared to daytime. And even then they'll occasionally have periods when they're required to do so. Welcome to our world, and stop getting distracted by the birds. Just think of it as the sound of freedom. Sweet campsite? Marines sleep anywhere. Wherever we but our packs down, that's home. Sometimes without a pack, just our canteens, whatever is in our asspacks, and our ponchos and rifles. We don't need much. And did I mention the sand fleas? Standing in formation can be a real test of discipline. You'd better not be swatting bugs! Two miles on flat terrain in perfect weather was hard? I thought you were a mountain man. We have something called the 25 mile Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) hump ( that's what we call walking). No libo until it's finished. With full packs (about 70 to 90 pounds), deuce gear, weapons, and plenty of blisters. Semper Fi.

When my boys were young, one of our favorite things was to stop at the end of our driveway or pick a road on a map and start driving. We might stay on one road or stop and ask our boys which way now? Turned into some of our best trips. Did it once while living in Connecticut and by the end of the day we'd ended up in New Hampshire after Rhode Island, Delaware, New York and Maine. Did it all in one day which astonished us. Good people and beautiful scenery. Good food, too. Try it some day on one of your trips. No telling what you might come across.

It gets so loud especially when the fighter jets are low and hit those thrusts. You literally have to cover your ears and when people visit our home and these planes fly over, they stop, look up at the ceiling and say, Wow! That plane sounds so close! How do you deal with that? Can't hear when talking or the TV! It gets Old!

Being an Army Tanker for 20 years and retiring by Ft Knox, before the Armor School moved down to Ft Benning, the Tanks were awesome to listen to. The tank range is not far from my house, so when the tank crews used to train, you could hear the main guns, coax machine guns, and the .50 calibers rockin!! The main guns would make our house and windows rattle. But now that the Armor School is no longer here, the only thing you hear now is small arms. Kind of sad that the Armor School left. Those people who litter are in EVERY community!! I usually carry extra trash bags while out running around, so I can pick up trash. It pisses me off too!!

Fantastic video!. I love military aircraft and I never get to see it in action except at air shows... The sunset was absolutely beautiful. The whole video was beautiful except for the trash. That's amazing that people would do that. You have jumped up to #1 in my favorite's list. I can't wait for your videos to come out.

Very well done and edited video. Music was excellent addition to all of your thoughts and content. Your channel really got me through the lockdowns, extra mandatory shifts and all things during the covid. I just wanted to say thank you for helping to keep me grounded and entertained. The channel gets better and better!!! 👍
