@@jayhollows5729 That's not controlled Anarchy, that's good old fashioned, iron-fisted Fascism. Or at least a step on the way to it. Anarchy doesn't allow for the comfortable corruption men like Ross want. "Order" to them is heirarchy. An arbitrary system of rules to stamp everyone "lower than them" down, so as to make more room for the people higher up. The whole mechanism of "Order" in a heirarchy doesn't even work on the people at the top, because it all works on top-down pressure. The lower you are, the more weight there is crushing you. The higher you are, the less you're weighed down, even by the rules of your own system. Freedom is bought. People can cry foul at that, call out the double-standard, but... who's gonna enforce it??? Who do they have checking on them, and who do they have to answer to?! If you stole $200 from the register at work, you'd be in jail in an instant. But the cops aren't ever gonna bust down your bosses door if he shortchanges $1000 out of your paycheck. Max penalty would be a small fine and a slap on the wrist. Hell, he could steal right out of your tip jar and never have to even see a badge. And that's assuming "justice" is served! Chances are that nothing happens. If you fight them on it hard enough they might eventually agree to give you the money back and call it square. But you? You'd get beaten and kept in a cage. You don't get to just give it back and move on. Hell, you'd still have to pay a fine for the service of having been beaten and caged!! There's an aspect that both games leave out a lot; The victims. The victims of the Van Der Linde gang for many years. But to normal people and the pinkertons, they have no such acknowledgement of kindness in our boahs. They only see extensions of those real rugged Micah Bell type outlaws. If we could see his whole journey; from how and why he joins the Bureau/Pinkertons in the first place (likely because he has a goody-two-shoes nature to him, but no doubt because a terrible event became his catalyst for joining law enforcement), gets to the most prestigious/reputable LE position he can (the Bureau) and follows Ross all the way through, seeing how he operates and like John with Dutch, disagreeing with his practices but continuing to follow because, well, he's the leader and really what else is he going to do, then finally Ross gets or gives the order to go and kill John which he disagrees with, stays with the Bureau in Blackwater and we eventually find out that the man who gives Jack the information on where to find Ross was Fordham all along (kind of dumb, but it's the best I have for the moment)

Rdr1 had a much more fluid shooting mechanic. Rdr2 was more roleplay and did it better than most games. Rdr 1 was more arcadey, rdr2 was more grounded with detail. I prefer the story of the first, but the brutality of the 2nd.

Crazy how yet Ross kidnaps John's family until John kills his former gang. Then later Ross leaves John alone with his family so they can live a happy life. Then Ross betrays John and kills him. Pretty messed up to think about it. Later Jack kills Edgar Ross as revenge for his father's death the good ending.

A short game called 'Blue Condemnation' or something would be cool. A game where you could play as Ross or Milton and see the actions of RDR and RDR2 from their perspective. See the Van Der Linde gang as the monsters 'Law Abiding Citizens' would likely see them as. Come across the innocents that have been killed and extorted, get witness statements. “You don’t wish to be dead.” What Ross doesn’t realize is that Abigail and Jack are what’s keeping John alive. Had they killed them, or died while in custody, John would’ve no longer cared about the rest of his criminal associates and instead finish the job with Ross. Like when Ross jokes about Abigail dying in a prison riot John immediately aimed his gun at him, at that moment he had nothing to lose and was ready to die knowing he killed the man who made him hurt. A man who has everything to lose is dangerous, but I would never mess with someone who has nothing to lose.
