Ulla and Josh. I’m 67 years old and a nana. Go for it and enjoy your life on the canals. I’m too old and live in Australia. Buy two things. #1 a metal garden rake for fishing leaves etc out of the locks and canals and #2 a Big Boy hand saw to get fallen wood to cut. You won’t regret buying these two items. And now you can tell all you friends that you live in the country !!! Lucky you. ❤️❤️

Thank you for the recommendations Vicki, we shall definitely get our hands on a rake. Josh used to be a tree surgeon so we have many many saws on board already 😄 where shouts do you live in australia? I lived in aus for 15 years, from the age of 9 onwards! Loved it so much. Looking forward to visiting again one day. xx

Okay here goes… I have been a fan of Narrowboat KZitem channels for years. I am very selective about the ones I prefer. For a first vlog- my opinion - you nailed it. You kept my attention the entire time. Not too much music- just enough and your music selections were perfect- not too powerful but just the right piece for the moods. Your joy- priceless! Your appreciation for small moments- thank you. Your voice tone- spot on. Really- great vlog. You now have a fan from America. P S - you mentioned Milton Keynes- I have a daughter living in Buckingham- great market village.

My parents used to live just outside of Bedford, and I stayed with them while waiting for the purchase of my Smallholding to be completed, loved Rollerskating around the Milton Keynes Shopping Centre when on the way to a Roller Skating rink and waiting for its opening time not sure, may have even in Newport Pagnell ? Met lots of nice people in the area as at the time CB Radio was big, and there was a great CB Radio Club called Alpha Zulu that had regular Meetings. Fun Times. Best Wishes. Bob. 👍⛵️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Just a word of advice. Less revs from cold, you will kill your engine very quickly. The smoke at the start was blue smoke which is not great. Go longer on warming the glow plugs when it's so cold, the engine was cranking too long which either means poor compression or glow plugs not hot enough. Just run your engine as gently as you can from cold. I was cringing at the amout of revs you were running from dead cold. It sounded almost flat out.

Plus, my dog Moo loves the canals and it's all about her - of course! Can't wait for more content. Your boat is gorgeous- and so is your voice Ulla. I checked out your other vids. I really loved this! I live seconds away from the river lea and when I go for walks I see all the long boats and ducks and it’s so relaxing just to look at the waters it can put me into a sleepy mood, so relaxing to be out there! All the best on your journey and will sub now !

Thank you Ella, we are loving living on the boat so far... we are hoping to publish a new video ever week for as long as we can, so wish us luck 🤪. Would love to visit the river Lea... though we are currently moored rather far from there for now. 😀

Every waterway in the country is now your home. You people are living one hell of a dream. I am sooooo envious of you both but by god... I wish you both the very, very best of luck. However with the enthusiasm you both have, I doubt you will need it. Well done on your choice and who knows...one day some of us may get to see you sailing the uk waterways :)

Yes you are. Sorry to be the bad guy but sell it?? Fuck. You should have kept it and rented it. That way you still have a foothold in property and you'd have ownership & added income not to mention the option of moving back. Don't get ne wrong I wish you well, truly. But I honestly think you should have kept the property. It feels like it was a rushed move. Personally there are more flaws than plusses but if your happy then who is anyone to judge? As long as it doesnt come back to bite.God bless you.

oh no - why so many people use these tea bags? millions of microplastic particles are released into the hot water and you drink the stuff. In addition, the worst and cheapest teas or the leftovers are put in these bags. Only real tea leaves make sense and do no harm.

Hey loves, loving the channel so far. Please don’t feed bread to the swans and ducks etc it’s bloats their stomachs and stops them foraging and that can lead to malnutrition. There are feeds you can buy, or even frozen peas. The other thing is when your vacuuming the engine bay don’t put the waste into the canal as there can be engine oils etc in the water and wildlife lives there in the water. Keep up the good work I enjoyed watching your adventures xx

i have family that live on a houseboat on the river. i live way out in the country in a small cabin. but i also have family that say their doing better than me. and i say, by who's criteria? because your house cost more? u make more a year? happiness doesn't come with a price tag. we don't need money, they just programmed u to think u do. even gold can't be quantified by a price tag. everything should be free. we need to change the way we speak and the words we use. i guarantee u start uplifting people, society will start to do for other just because. they will do for the prays they get from others not money. the way we are living is modern slavery.

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback ✨ we are slowly turning the boat into our home and it feels so good to do so!
