Hey 👋 what do you think of this Bothy? I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to stay in one, I was honestly so blown away by how cute it was! Def better than staying in a tent 🤣 thanks for joining us again! Stick around for next week, we’ve taken a ferry into the rough North Sea ⛴ 🌊 Want to find out more about Bothies? What a great experience. Well done. The fire must have really made the stay special. I stayed in botheys for the first time last August (aged 67). Did a walking trip near Ullapool with my son and his dog Daisy. 3 nights, 1 camping, and two in different botheys. Both were great. I reminded my son that last time we walked up into the hills camping together, he was a little boy. I think it was 1982. He suggested that we ought to do it more often than once every 40 years! It was an amazing experience that will be long remembered.

Hi Tom and Izzy. Haven't left a comment for ages but, don't worry, have been enjoying your videos with the same joy as always! My younger son, now living in london, when he comes home to Scotland, where we live, is an avid Gill walker and loves staying in a bothy!! Glad it was such a lovely experience for you both. It looked very comforting and homely!

So much wisdom for two young ones ! Old souls you are, and your a huge inspiration for us all , I love your energy and I love your going to the Bothy, clever man sometimes bothies are taken over by party idiots that don’t stick to the bothy rules, the first time I found a bothy I was 21 I’m 56 now, no mobile phones, no apps, no one knew where they were, even the maps had a secret code for the bothies, which are always right when you need them, in my case it saved my life, the beds were built out of stone, they were so clean always stocked with wood and a way to restock the wood too, the only one window is to keep the heat in and the carbon out, always leave it open just a tiny crack - Old Owl 🦉 Alaya, don’t forget to leave something for the bothy pixies….. there should be a line to hang your wet socks and clothes up to dry before the morn, you two crack on I’ve subscribed I love ta see your faces wen yer find something new, bless yer cotton socks, from a pixie bothy dweller and trail blazer of old ☘️

That was simply wonderful and one of my favourite videos that you've done. Your drone footage was spectacular and it looks like you had an amazing time. We were actually in The Cairngorms the week before you, staying in Ballater. It was superb and there was loads of snow while we were there. We popped into snowy Braemar which was lovely too. Mind you, the drive back down the 'Snow Road' from Glenshee was pretty scary in a blizzard!
