This was my second air fryer kzitem.infoUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The last one worked fine but was large and a bit loud. This one is outstanding. It is smaller overall but still has plenty of capacity. It crisps the food better. You don't get one side soggy if you forget to turn it over. It is pretty quiet, easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. It chimes to alert you to functions, like when to turn over food that benefits from that. The automatic pre-heat is great. The display is large and easy to read, the light inside is actually useful. The window is worth the extra $10. It looks good sitting out on my counter. I haven't been this happy with an appliance for a long time. Good value for money.

Either a bit less cauliflower, or when shaking the foods make sure to rotate the foods well. Other thing is you didn’t cook it 20 minutes, you cooked it 17 minutes (if you cook for 20 minutes and you preheat for 3 minutes you need to have time as 23 minutes.) Honestly though, the temp and time is something that one needs to figure out, as listed time n temp doesn’t always cook it right.

The recipe called for a head, they used less... 3 minutes is the difference between "raw" and "cooked"? I already have a convection oven, and I can easily open it up and shke or stir stuff, but seemingly on a order of magnitude greater in volume, and significantly better in quality. I mean, If I were in a college dorm room, this *might* be passable for beer-inspired late night "food".
@braidenmitchell5620
3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcarey9359 1. A "head" of cauliflower is not a standardized unit of measurement, so it will vary from head to head, 2. Food tends to cook following an exponential function. As water evaporates when cooking, more and more heat goes into directly cooking the food and changing the texture etc. Most of this happens in the last 5 minutes of cook time. Have you ever put bread under a broiler? Not much happens in the first half minutes, but the last half minutes makes the difference between burnt and browned.

@Iodine74
3 жыл бұрын
Agreed on all points. Particularly 1 and 2. And maybe most importantly, does it without having to heat up a full sized oven, and better (and quicker) than a toaster oven (though if you've got a super nice toaster oven that might not be the case). It took us a few tries with frozen fries to get the method right. At first they would harden up too quickly. But we've worked it out since then thanks to avacado oil and getting our time/temp down (just like you'd have to do on any new appliance). Now... I've got the Grill version so there's no basket involved, but it's really good for making pizzas with Naan or other pre-made crusts. Also good for heating up/toasting a sandwich, I guess the way a Salamander would. I keep pretzel rolls in the fridge, drop them in the Grill on AF mode and let it take the chill off while it's preheating.. before or by the time it's done preheating drop some cold cuts and cheese on it... 3-5 minutes later very nicely hot sandwich.
