We drive down to the limoges area monthly in the summer also in a L322 usually from the port of dieppe. a great car to do that trip in. I also come across to Ireland (Co Sligo) every so often in the Range Rover. Very interested to see Mt Dore as we are about 1.5 hours from it and next winter will be going over for the skiing. Thank you for a great video.

Great video, Sam - camerawork, views, emotions, meet-ups, road trip, camping, epic french views ... it's all in there. Pity about the St Bernard pass - did that about 15 years ago when my kids were young, 6 up in a disco 2 with trailer attached ... good times. That tunnel being built at the ski resort ... possibly a conveyor inside to return the skiers to the nursery slope render-vous?

Rangey in ways I like the most, but the insurance has been up and down on it but lately it’s back to wear it was for me from jumping up to over 5k and know back to about 1k. That’s the only main thing making me weary of buying one.

Thanks Sam love watching your videos, great content and great detail which others can gloss over. I’ve had a 200,000 ml 2010 4.4Tdv8 Vogue Se (which at the time needed the turbo drain mod doing but I didn’t know about it at the time so she had to go, but apparently she’s still going strong) and now i have 150,000 2012 4.4Tdv8 Westminster which ive had a load of work done on. I’ve used AUTODOC previously but living in the England i believe if the order inc P&P is over £135.00 then you have to pay import duty or 20% vat, do you know if this is true?

Your partner"s saddle is too low on the bike. This makes cycling much less comfortable and efficient. If you raised the saddle she'd have better comfort and leverage.
@SamsMotors

Thanks - it could look that way because these bikes seem to have slightly strange geometry - the handlebars are low, and the pedals seem to be mounted high in the frame. Her seat is set so she is on tip toes at a standstill.

Hello Sam, I have a 4.4 tdv8 from 2012. I love the car. The only thing that worries me is the day I have to carry out an engine repair because of how complicated and expensive the mechanics are. I wanted to ask you if, given the miles you have on your car, you have already changed the timing chain. If you already did it, could you tell us how many miles you carried out this work. Greetings from Panama
@SamsMotors
2 ай бұрын
Hey Carlos, thanks for the comment! The timing chain on my car is original as far as I know. It is on the list of jobs that I’d like to do myself (at some point) but it’s not an immediate concern. Like everything, if the engine is well serviced with oil changes there’s no reason the chain shouldn’t outlast the engine.
