Buttercup did so well on her first milking she really stood beautifully - having 3 babies does help with milk production as they make enough milk for all the babies so only 1 baby like Willow less milk - you are making a chick shaw with the ability to tow it with the side by side - Justin told us and it has put thought into his head on how to convert his especially for pulling uphill on his place instead of doing it by hand

Sweet and sour sauce mix all ingredients together as a slurry, pour over the stir fry and stir until becomes translucent and thickens up. * 1¾ cup 6 ounces pineapple or orange juice * 1/3 cup water * 1/3 cup white or rice vinegar * 1 tablespoons tomato purée (or 3 tablespoons of tomato ketchup) * 1/2 cup brown sugar * 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes * ¼ teaspoon salt * 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or Worcestershire sauce) * 1 tablespoon cornflour (cornstarch) Add water as necessary if it gets too thick.

Good Monday mornin New Yolk City .... nice to see the meat birds survived the road trip. Your plants are really taking off in the high tunnel. Buttercup is prolly producing so well because she has to feed 3 kids. Have a great week AL, Gina & Olivia .... I still think that Moose is laying those little eggs ~8^)

Gina, I sometimes make "stir-fry" with whatever bbq sauce I have on hand - store-bought or home-made. It's certainly not authentic, but its delicious. If your favorite bbq sauce is too thick you just add a bit of water or juice or broth. If its too runny a bit of cornstarch will thicken it up as it cooks. Thanks for all of the inspiration!

Buttercup is starting out to be a good milker. We had a Nigerian doe who produced a quart and a half a day. She was an awesome goat. We ended up having to cull her from the herd because she was having issues carrying her babies to term. It was sad. Looks like your meat birds are doing great. We get our Cornish cross from McMurray hatchery and we have never been disappointed. Looking forward to see what you make. You are too funny Al. Man glitter, lol. Love it. Thanks for sharing. A wonderful mixed day. So pleased Buttercup was good for you, and that she's produced so much milk. For a maiden milking, that was pretty amazing. Can't wait to see what that extra chick is, and if it's female will it go in with the other layers? As for the meat birds already in the chicken tractors, they're clearing that bit of pasture beautifully. I'm guessing the project is something to do with that covered outdoor area for the barn you talked about. The separation gate looks to be working well. The greenhouse seems to be thriving with the watering system you installed. I am looking forward to seeing how that continues to grow, as well as how you're going to raise and lower the sides. The pigs are always entertaining, and they're slowly getting through that ground.

Al, shortly after dirt was invented and before duct tape became the universal "fix-it " tool in everyone's tool box there was baling wire. You have a door in the barn witch you have to reach over to open because the door lock only opens from one side. I had this issue with a fence gate---SO---I drilled a small hole in my gate and fashioned a little latch pull with baling wire to lift the latch.

As per your request Gina, here are 2 stir fry related recipes without soy or coconut aminos. Sauce 1. Is the full recipe. You can use steak strips as an alternative to chicken or you can make it totally vegetarian. I add sugar snap peas, baby corn, julienne carrots, peas, brocolli, cauliflower etc in all of my recipes. It’s the sauce that accommodates any choice of meats, fish or veg. 4 pieces chicken breast fillets (no skin) cubed 4 cups broccoli florets 3 tbsp sesame oil 4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed 1 tsp ginger powder 1/3 cup black treacle (although in the USA you call it molasses. I did research for you and apparently bre rabbit black strap molasses is an organic good one to use) or Worcester sauce (pronounced wooster or wooster shire) if you don’t like molasses at all. 3 tbsp honey 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste 1 tbsp sesame (optional) Sauce 2 - this is a sauce only recipe that can be added to anything you choose, as mentioned for sauce 1. 1 garlic (peeled clove of, grated) 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated) 3/4 teaspoon chilli garlic paste 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1/3 cup Worcester sauce 2 tablespoons rice vinegar 1 cup broth (chicken, beef or vegetable) Hope you enjoy! 👍🏻
