I grew up on the Washington in a place called the San Juan Islands, 172 islands in Puget Sound where the only access is by water or air. From there I watched Orcas )Killer whales) a lot, bald eagles, riding on ferries. There are lots of very pretty places in Puget Sound. People in Oregon are a little worried about the Cascadia earthquake possibility which will be greater than the one a few years ago in Japan, but if I could I'd still like living on the Oregon Coast. I currently live in a region of tall mountains, very deep canyons, and many large rivers, and forests with the Pacific Coast climate coming up three very big rivers to where I live in Idaho. Idaho even has a seaport with barges of grain hauled from inland fields to Portland. So much free cheese at Tillamook and so!!!!!!!!tasty and that bridge crossing the Columbia is so long!

Tillamook Cheese Factory and that long bridge across the Columbia at Astoria. And driving from Coos Bay to the Willamette Valley. And watching sea lions near Coos Bay and visiting fishing boats at Newport. Great state.
