I wouldn’t go near that spitting Cobra 🐍. A friend of mine played college football 🏈 with was hunting & got bitten by a huge rattle snake 🐍 on his lower right leg. He survived but he was messed up for a while. He could barely walk back to the truck. Unbelievable story!!

We recorded this mobile video after filming our footage with main camera. The cobra stopped spitting as it saw that we are not a threat and Zuzana took her visor down. But she is holding a black object in front of her and the snake focuses on that and would spit there.

One was removed from my home during COVID-19 lockdown. Nasty business. It fully demobilised the leader of the snake catchers by spitting in his eyes, and was still spraying when it was brought out.

We shot this phone video when the snake stopped spitting already. Cobras are intelligent and will spit for a few minutes then they realize nothing bad is happening to them. So if we didn't do some very big movement, the cobra would not spit. And yes, this snake was pretty accurate!

I can hear it growl(or hissing if I’m wrong), what I like about this snakes is that they each have their own unique way of saying “don’t come near me, I’m venomous” but I think the Spitting cobra is the most unique because no other snake can do that (correct me if I’m wrong)

Yes, spitting cobras are unique in their defensive behavior. It is cool that they also hood up, they growl, some species play dead.

I have one of those 5' snake sticks and I would not try using it on a large snake like that. I did use it on a smallish rattle snake once.
