Bro you are so right I spent a whole year getting my girl out of dept got her car paid and bills and then I proposed two weeks ago.... Then I find out she took another loan even... if it was a small or big loan I couldn't believe she just did that.... I had to tell her I'm not going to marry debt so she has the rest of this year to figure it out

The key word is you spent the year getting her out of debt! Let her get herself out of debt this time. Maybe then she will learn her lesson.

Nothing to do with GOD! It is about hard work, brains, research, learning from folks who have common sense and critical thinking and making money. If you had invested $1,000 in Apple stock on Jan. 9, 2001, today, you would have $604,588, 23 years later. If you had invested that same $1000 in some Jordans it would probably be worth $1,500. Get off the God BS and study! That religion was beaten into us! We did not worship as Christians in Africa,,,,OK!

It’s hard when people count your money and wonder why you’re driving an older car (it’s paid off), or why you don’t carry expensive bags, etc. Thank you for confirming that I’m on the right path. One day I’ll be able to afford what I want. Now I’m saving for a business, growing an emergency fund, and setting myself up for financial success. I wish I could convince my family…luxury cars and asking me for money. 😂

How is that hard? Their thoughts don’t matter. The most expensive bag I have is from the Coach outlet and it was a birthday gift. I love the quality but I’m NOT trying to impress anyone who doesn’t pay my bills with their opinion by buying more expensive bags I don’t need. I’ve never owned a brand new car and never had car payments. My older car 🚗 💨 moves everywhere the overpriced car does and doesn’t leave us on the bus stop. 😂😂

The key is if you can live on 80% of your net income. Ten percent for God's Kingdom, and 10% for your kingdom. I drive a 22-year old Honda Accord. I can afford more, but I'm building wealth and getting out of debt. I focus on appreciating assets rather than depreciating assets. My home is worth almost $400k, my Honda is worth $1k, and I have only one credit card debt of $4500 which I am accelerating the payoff. All this on a salary less than $66k/year.

Also, look for opportunities to grow and be promoted in your field. Certifications, training, or even going to a competitor. Employees typically can increase their annual income 10% -15% by switching gigs compared to a 3% annual raise. Keep the expenses down, get the money up and watch the margin grow. Also, whatever your hobby is, turn it a business!! That’s addressed in the episode about building wealth through tax benefits! Hope this encourages you.

He won't agree to doing bankruptcy because he followed Dave Ramsey's plan and Dave never agrees to doing bankruptcy unless it's absolutely needed. I was in your shoes 7 years ago and now my networth is six figures. This is what I did.... 1) Cut expenses (didn't go on trips, only went out to eat once a month, got rid of cable, got rid of my car and took the bus) 2) Increased income (tutored on the side, negotiated for more pay, worked at a new school) I was lucky to get 20k of my student loans forgiven for teaching but I saved up the other 30k cash over 3 years and paid it all off in a lump sum payment. It took me 3 years and it may take you 4 or 5 but you'll be in a much more better place. (Edit) Past income: $30k Past debt: $55k Current income: $65k Current networth: more than $200k

You start with the assumption that blk folk have not looked at the "things we are doing" and are making money moves. AND at the same time institutions keeps drilling holes in our bucket. The real question is why is it when black try to address these systems, it's portrayed as whining? This opens with so many bias/self loathing talking points I tuned out at 0:51.

There are many other races other than black. We are all humans , I hate that color has to ever be a thing. More than color it really comes from how you where raised. What habits you have.
