Hey, I was doing some research myself, basically wealthsimple is a investing platform that is managed for you. It seems to be on the safe side. So Invest & Cash will put your money in mostly ETF's in different sectors and markets based on your risk tolerance. On the other hand trade & crypto is the platform for buying stocks you want specifically including crypto.

Hey Amandeep! Good question - you can hold in either - Den touches on this a little bit in Friday’s video! But yes there can be benefits to holding certain funds in either/or. Great content you guys! Keep up the good work. I do have a question though, so if her goal for her TFSA account is for retirement, does she invest in her RSP too? So she invests in both accounts for retirement?

Thank you! Right now I invest in my TFSA, but will eventually max out both my TFSA and RRSP for retirement 😊

Hello guys, I’m a new to investing and later in life. I opened a TSFA account in EQ Bank because of high interest. I’m also looking around at other options. I am very tempted to open an account with Wealth simple. Can I open a TSFA account in more then one bank? Thanks 🙂

You sure can! You can have multiple TFSA's, but keep in mind that your contribution limit is across all of them (ie. If you're overall limit is $50,000 and you have $30k in one TFSA and $20k in another, you're maxed out) 😊

@@stephandden thank you for the fast respond. I didn’t deposit much, I wanted to learn how to use the account first before I can comfortably put in more. Opened both Wealthsimple and Wealthsimple Trade. 🤞Hopefully I can understand enough so I can be more involved with the investment platform. Thank you so much for your help😊

If you’re in Canada, you can use Wealthsimple Trade as long as you’re 18+, a Canadian citizen or have a Canadian visa, have a SIN & a Canadian residential address. 😊

You guys put me on to Wealthsimple invest this year! I was looking to start investing in index funds. But so far on my portal, my money just sits in my Traditional IRA and has started to rake in some returns (USA resident here). Is it possible to invest in index funds within Wealthsimple invest?

Hi, so im using wealthsimple and funding thru bmo. Ive only been using the mobile app. But everytime i want to fund my account or take money out there is a 3 dag wait period. (im only using the trade/crypto option on the phone). Is it more direct funding thru the computer/ to the account step had her 7000? Thanks.

Thank you for the breakdown!! Quick qn: If I set up auto-deposit from my bank acc to TFSA on WS, I will at some point reach my contribution limit. Do I just stop contributing at that point? But I'd like to invest long term for the compounded interest. Which account should I open if I want to do a monthly contribution to? thanks in advance
@stephandden
3 жыл бұрын
Good question! You should auto deposit until you max out your registered accounts (RRSP and TFSA) and then you can redirect your deposits to a non-registered account - those have no limits, but are taxable - hence why you do your TFSA/RRSP first. 😊
