This helps confirm for me thst cameras still cant do what the human eye can do. I saw the eclipse in 2017 and you can easily see filaments coming off the sun that no camera can resolve, becsuse even in totality the image is too bright for cameras to resolve the fainter filaments. YOU HAVE TO TRY TO SEE A TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IF YOU CAN. Make it kind of like your own personal haj.

That bright spot below the sun and to the right - was that Venus? I wonder, because I also saw the total eclipse from northern Vermont, and thought I could see some stars, incl Venus. However, there were also plenty of illuminated drones and helicopters flying around, and at least one of my "stars" (or presumed planets) turned out to be just position lights from air craft.

Its a GoPro Max that unfortunately reset and defaulted to non-360 mode (sad). It had a GPS so we could see it floating around in Seneca Lake (NY) and were able to retrieve it with a kayak. It landed initially about 3/4 mile from shore (basically smack in the middle) but had drifted to only maybe 200 ft or so from shore by the time we got there the next day. The footage cuts out descent, not 100% sure why but probably because the battery finally got too cold as a combination between the cold temps at altitude and from the faster wind while falling. Although, If we are really lucky, it was because the final segment of footage corrupted on contact with the water and might still be on the SD card. Again that's probably not likely but we're trying to look at it. Max altitude isn't certain but it was projected to be about 75,000 ft.
