Superb ! The wash ...is it just thinned down Humbrol paint ?

Skullandrumit no. It’s - ammo mig dark wash A.MIG-1008. You could use very diluted humbrol paints or even oil paints thinned down does the same thing. I just like using lots of different stuff!!

Just came across this, what a brilliant way to weather coal hoppers. Before each of the paint and hairspray applications were you leaving the previous stages of the weathering to dry properly as well as the final Grey coat of paint, I ask because I would like to try this technique on my own hopper wagons. Thanks in advance for any advice. Michael
