Watching this almost a decade later...Google is still king.

Huh? This is not new: he simply summarized Information Rules by Hal Varian and Carl Shapiro, with a few updates to it. Then gives a minor attribution to them in the beginning.

I wanna ask.... where is airtime now? And how does the network effect work on it?

Good content but I am still wondering what is new over here? Something that we don't know? Now about data. Data collection happens only when that data is captured over the networks. Google is not dumb. They are morphing very fast into modular access to flow of data and plan to enforce a marketplace with a network that creates value through network effect.

I think they need to re-evaluate this conclusion on Google's future now that their Android platform has gained massive momentum. It connects Android users, has the potential and reach to coax others into consumption and could provide an excellent base for networking in the future.

@kizitz1 which will be a more simple version of what we have, the mess we call the internet right now will be long gone , as well as little muppets like sean parker , who seem to think that one good idea equals a lifetime of lectures from the same person , give up and move on.

assuming and pretending to be genius is totally nothing. Please note Sheryl Sandberg is the one who generated more users when she became the COO of Facebook.
