I got selected for the masters program in Accounting (2 years) at Umea University. Unfortunately, I won't be getting any waiver due to my average Bachelor's result, on top of that, as an international student, I am afraid of the availability of job opportunities given that Umea is a small city. So if I can't manage a part time job, how am I supposed to cover my daily expenses? Don't get me wrong. Tuition fee is not the problem, I am talking about the everyday expenses like food, rent, transportation etc.

Hi, thank you for your message. We understand your concern, and many people today are worried about the economic downturn - especially students. But Umeå does have a lot of job opportunities, also part time. So hopefully you'll find something, we also have job fairs every semester where the students can meet representatives from local businesses. Maybe one of those could be worth a visit?

@@umeauniversitet Thank you so much for the enlightenment. I am glad to know about the job fairs. I just hope not knowing Swedish language would not be lessening my chances. Wish me luck! 🍀 I am really looking forward to beginning a new life in Umeå.
