To problem z tolerancjami wymiarów. I have similar experiences with assembling Chinese sets. Most parts are not a problem, but the connections of the technic axles with the sockets are a big challenge for Chinese factories. The axles are very difficult to press or do not go all the way into the sockets. This is a problem with dimensional tolerances. The sockets are too small or the axles are too large. Try to put together two white elbow-shaped blocks with a hole for the axle, you may find that you will have a large gap between them because the axle did not go all the way into the socket. Another problem is the size tolerances of longer elements, especially plates. If I build a longer element on several 2x8 plates, trying to connect them a few levels higher requires a lot of force, because you almost have to bend the elements. Behind all these problems is the lack of control over the plastic injection process and the quality of the granulate. If Chinese factories do not solve this problem, they will not catch up with LEGO.

I also tried it but will be sticking to bricklink for ordering parts

I think the reason that Lego has been able to keep their prices so high is that their tolerances and quality control is simply much better than the alternatives.

Well, there are other brands that have proper tolerances but don't have the order process at the level of webricks. I checked gobricks and they are missing a lot of pieces from parts list of any MOC I tried, even core technic pins, so I gave up on that.

I never had issues with weBrick even when NOT choosing Gobricks. The trick is just ordering more pins because some are really tight. But thats actually useful because sometimes i need something to sit extremely tight while sometimes i need something to sit very loose. For that purpose i have different pin categories of the exact same pins. Usually original Lego pins are pretty loose, which is bad. But I get that this is not optimal when ordering a moc.

It's not just pins. I had really tight axle holes, pin holes and some deformed elements. I get that you may want more rigid connection, but for technic model you may want the pin holes to actually let the axles spin freely inside...

i actually used webrick some times for sistem and technic builds and they worked just fine i guess it could happen since they use gobrick and webrick parts unless you don't choose pure source the tolerances could just not work

What do you mean by "choose pure source"?

@@SaperPl1 when you buy the pieces there is the possibility to choose pure gobrick source or pure webrick source, you can see that they use different mold for the pieces in the same order could happen that you get the same liftarm, one identical to the lego one and one with a different mold

Well, I build several technic-models with parts only from Gobricks and I haven't got any problems at all, even your fantastic models from rebrickable. The only thing where I prefer original Lego parts are building GBC's.

Did you use upload tool for getting them from WeBrick? I don't see any option for selecting the source when uploading parts for this model. @Italianlegodude wrote something about selecting gobricks above.

@@SaperPl1 Sorry, it seems that I misanderstood the intention of your video, I thought the main part was the quality of chinese technic-parts. I didn't use Webrick - instead I bought my Gobricks technic-parts from ywobb. The process of buying a bunch of single items from ywobb was a hassle, but they improved it with their new shop system.

@@juppschmitz2972 This is explicitly about WeBrick - they have awesome process of part selection for your build through uploading the parts list as a file, and they would be a go-to way to order bricks if not for the terrible quality.

A shame, with how greedy Lego has become we really need alternate places to buy bricks from!
@SaperPl1
8 күн бұрын
It's not that they are greedy, most of the bricks seem to be okay priced. The problem is that they could just let us upload parts list instead of having to manually pick every single piece. Because if they'd do that, then you can sell instructions and people will start buying MOCs instead of sets. If they make it difficult and/or expensive, you'll go to bricklink and this means those resellers are buying the sets and splitting them apart. And that's both waste of our time and wasteful meaning not really eco friendly because of increased shipping so fuel use and packaging and instructions that will just be thrown away because bricklink resellers will just split this into parts.

The only thing I got from your video was you hammering parts at the end. Your description is good. Bricklink works best when you have your design on-screen and create a wanted list with one click, then use the best buy function to get you the best combination of the cheapest parts.

Well, if you skip through all the video sections, then you may not see it. Note the sections on the timeline and if 7:40 , 8:20 and 9:30 doesn't look like a problem to you, then I don't know what to tell you. But yeah, it's not a perfect video, I got extremely annoyed by how bad those are and the build was tiring as hell.
