You are the man!! I got my featherlite from my grandfathers estate after he passed away in 1998 and I've used it every year since. It just started giving me problems and I don't want to replace it for sentimental reasons. Your vid saved the day. Thanks a million!

Thank you, one of the best videos out there. You covered everything . I got a cheap weed eater because it need fuel lines, Everything came out of the tank same as yours .I thought the connector was a connector. Not a fuel line stop. And I had my filter on the big line, thinking big line means supply. Nice touch adding the sizes of fuel line also. Put lines to match yours and runs good now. Aside from a sore arm pulling like crazy with fuel lines crossed. Again thank you.

Thank you for the free information video. I used it to replace both fuel lines on my Craftsman weedwacker and it works like a new one. I bought a set of fuel lines, 12" long each, from Home Depot instead of using Craftsman parts and saved about 80% of the cost. I really appreciate your instructions.

I was at a stand still thinking it was the coil. I gave it another pull and it started. too much fuel was the case. I watched your video and thought I should check the needle. Gave it a cleaning and found the spring wasn't set properly. Put it back together and it works like new. Great advice on the fuel lines, I"ll be getting around to that over the winter. Thank you for the great videos. Lots of good info.

Thank you, your videos are perfect, a friend gave me a snapper weedeater. The primer bulb was dry rotted. Went to the local dealer, got the bulb. Started the install to discover the fuel lines were rotten as well. I was not sure which went where, I was going to fall back on my r/c model know how untill I saw your videos. The fuel line connection answered all my questions. Again thank you. It is amazing how so many different makes and models use so many of the same parts. Interesting?

Dony, I did watch all of the videos but didn't see any reference to the green silicone valve I found in both of my Featherlite weedeaters. Great video I did my fuel lines thanks to this video but I found putting in the fuel lines was easier by cutting the lines like you did but instead of going from the outside in, I went from the inside out, It was easy to get the tip of the lines to stick out enough to get a pair of pliers on it and just pull them through with some WD40.

OK, donyboy,I have ordered a NEW CARB,,also got some fuel stabilizer, after hearing how much vapor water is being accumulated in the fuel as it sits. SO,your suggestion for priming the NEW carb when it gets here? I had a feeling the diaphragms were bad in old carb and it was getting too difficult to find parts...plus the cost was starting to equal new part at $40 with S&H,etc. This will be a LEARNING experience for me....Thanks for taking your time to teach us...I appreciate it GREATLY

Great tutorial! I got the same one today at a curb. I had to unsieze the engine, the crankcase was full of oil, and the gas lines crumbled. I wanted to remove the muffler to look at the piston condition, but the muffler has springs and whatever else holding it on. I'm Probably only going to clean the carb and add new fuel lines. It seems to have compression and spark, but I don't really want to put anything into it $ besides the gas oil mix.

Many thanks for this and the other 2 videos on repairing a weed eater. Always kind of thought you had to be a master mechanic....or rocket scientist. For those looking for parts for their weed eater (mine's a FX-25 model) here's a link for the fuel filter. As to the carb rebuilding kits, the 1st is still available from this company, but the other is no longer produced. The kit costs $11 plus shipping of course. I have ordered fuel line kit (fuel line x2) and fuel filter and am wondering how to replacing the fuel line. With your video, I am able to identify that the fatter line is actually the primer line (3/16" OD) and capped by a connector. while the skinny line 9/64" OD is the fuel line and capped by filter. Thanks so much

A new carburetor or the parts (fuel line, bulb, etc.) is fairly cheap and easy to install. Once you do it, it makes more sense. But go slow at first and take snapshots if need be to remind you how to reassemble it. Correct fuel/oil is basic, so do not skip that. And small amounts of dirt/gum. etc. can prevent correct fuel flow. A carb. has to be kept clean inside... so clean fuel (filtered) must go in.
