Recently got 10. Now im down to 6...parameters and temp are in range. Im afraid that they are gonna keep dying. I did cycle the tank before adding them and used a cycles sponge and hob filter. They are in a 55 gal tank for now. They seem sluggish even when I'm feeding them. Flakes, meal worms, live guppies, blood worms, what I'm feeding. Any tips??

Hi Luis! Thank you for the comment and question! Im very sorry to hear about your Piranhas, I know it has to hurt and is very frustrating. I am no expert when it comes to fishkeeping but i can give you advice based on my experience. The very first thing you need to do is make sure your tank is cycled before you add any fish. there are many videos on KZitem that explains this and i suggest you watch them. Secondly, Buy a test kit or test strips to test your water to make sure of your water quality and that it is safe for fish. For piranhas I found these perimeters to base my water on, pH 6.5-7.8. alkalinity 50ppm-140ppm, temp 75-80, make sure you chlorine level is at 0, and of course a cycled tank should have no nitrites and under 40 on Nitrate. I really hope this info has helped and i know how hard it is to find info but you just have to look. Goof Luck Luis!

Dude I started with 3 then got 3 more so 6 total same as urs very tiny know 3 months later they tripled in size all the do is eat eat and eat some more, mine really dont like the light that much but I turn it on every day. I have 2 bigger ones 3 medium and the 1 smaller one. But keep in mind I got them all in the same week very small, they are all crazy about food. It seems like the 2 bigger ones eat first then the 3 medium ones then the poor smaller guy get the scraps then I throw in some flakes or pellets, I've even got some worms medium size ones they definitely go crazy for those, around here they say don't feed them to many fish or guppys cause of parasites or ek or whatever so I stopped putting those in the tank,, but I told them that's what builds up their immune system right and that's basically what they eat in and wild so I really haven't got them any live stuff but for the first 3 weeks I kept guppys in there and they where very lively swimming around like crazy, know they just eat and chill they have got so big so fast I've took out a few things in the tank like plants and so for, just a few hiding spots cause they need alot of room to swim around.i got a homemade 95 gallon tank. My boy makes customs tanks well he used to so that is why it's a odd number but the tank is sweet and gives them plenty of room to swim what SIZE IS UR TANK, but like ur videos keep them coming bro
