I’m in surgical tech school right now my first 3 classes are Medical Terminology Surg100 introduction And a boring English clsss I just passed the midterm on the two medical related classes English is all APA papers BS What I am noticing is it seem like let me get this right “elective” Emergent & urgent are hospitals So yes an elective setting or outpatient centers for surgeries that provide a better quality of life seems to be more chill Also Do you ship the supplies out for sterile processing? I never thought about that til now I’ll start out in trauma or a big hospital to learn a bunch of cases but this seems chill There’s no rush 😂 He’ll yeah
@LifeWithSheree

elective cases are at the hospitals too but yes they generally only do elective cases in small centers. Starting out a hospital is always recommended since you get to learn everything. I clean the instruments myself and its usually like that at small surgery centers.

Can you make a video on study tips and what made school easier for you ? What was the hardest part about school etc.
@LifeWithSheree

Honestly that was over 3 years and it was such a fast program most of it was a blur. I used Quizlet and board vitals to study a lot. I studied in blocks like so would break up each didactic portion then when I went on to surgical tech classes and clinical I divided the different specialties

@@LifeWithSheree did you do sterile processing in the mist of finishing your degree? I know yo get that certification first.

@@NaeeNaae no you don’t have to get a sterile processing certificate to become a scrub, because that’s a different job

@@NaeeNaae hmm that’s really weird that shouldn’t be a requirement most scrubs working in hospitals will never have to clean instruments. Small practices and some surgery centers might
