Praise God for His perfect timing. I am so glad your dad is recovering and that you will be able to celebrate Christmas together with him and a niece. Thank you for the reminder that everything is in God’s timing and that we need to trust his process no matter the outcome. Keeping you, Sam, your family, and little Teddy in my prayers. Love you!❤️

Omg that little baby came 3 weeks early and your dad was in the hospital on that day at that time and it was able to be caught and treated when it was… what a blessing! I’m so glad to hear that your dad is doing better now and just am in awe of Gods timing. Praying for you and your family and thank you for sharing with us because you don’t owe us any explanation for something so personal but that being said, wow God is so good! and I love being able to hear what he has been doing in your and your family’s life 💗

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. I’m 23 with extensive cardiac issues on both sides (that are starting to act up now), my mom has had 2 heart attacks and is only 62 herself with the odds against her. She has two arteries that are almost fully clogged, and doesn’t qualify for bypass. I feel your pain and know the trauma you’re speaking of. I really pray for everyone going through scary health times and hope we can support one another ❤

Our dog was the same! We gave up after he would open the crate and squish his body out. We leave him in our room with the door closed and it’s worked really well for a year and a half. The beginning was rough because he did destroy a couple things, but he grew out of that.

I also hate DNFing books! I tried to make it a goal of mine in 2022 to just DNF books I am not enjoying...but I definitely still powered through some I wasn't loving haha. You should check out some local bookstores! Especially if you are spending $30 on books, it just feels a little better to be supporting a small business than a conglomerate like Barnes and Noble :)

I felt the exact same way about King's Cage when I was reading it, but pushed through because I also hate not finishing books, haha. Once War Storm came out, I dnf'ed it because it just took too long, and the plot wasn't very interesting to me anymore. I settled for reading the ending and that was when I REALLY knew it wouldn't have been worth finishing. Some fantasy books that are all-time favorites of mine are Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones and The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Thank you for a wonderful video

I’m so glad your dad is okay and that your niece is her and healthy. God’s timing is always so beautifully perfect! 😌 I’m glad Teddy’s doing well too. Just a heads up though; using a hair dryer on a dog could be very dangerous, it could easily accidentally burn their skin, so I’d warn against that. And I’m sorry about your back injury. 😕 So glad Raphael Warnock won Georgia though. 😁 That’s awesome! P.S. I love your book content too. It’s so fun. 😊

Little trick with puppies… I kept every single box (cereal, butter, snack boxes small Amazon boxes…any box) and gave them to my puppy when I came home…or was busy….I praised and made a big deal about what a good job he did tearing it up…if he started chewing on something that wasn’t his I said no firmly and replaced it with a box (or stick or bone) Not kidding…until the day he died he only chewed up something given to him…and he did it proudly lol I also crate trained him he and LOVED his crate. It was a safe place for him whether we were traveling or at home….it’s worth the effort…treats work wanders for crate training. So glad you’re dad is doing ok!!!

Bless sweet Teddy 🙏🏻 do what works for yall! Our pup is from the shelter and it took at least a month if not 2 to crate train him! We actually use our iPad to Skype him so we can watch and make sure he’s okay! Anyways, what we did was put a little peanut butter or little treats in his crate all throughout the day so he started seeing it as a good thing and also you can feed teddy in his crate so he associates it with that too (good), then we would put him in his crate and tell him “daddy and mommy are going to the store we will be back” and leave and come back after like 10 seconds (he had to be quiet before we came back in). And slowly increase the time. But we would do short sessions of this throughout the day. So like 10 minutes of in and out increasing the time 3-5x a day. And we did this for weeeeekssss. And when we came back in we always let him outside to go potty and gave him a small treat. Sometimes he would get a filled kong too. He had serious separation anxiety from the shelter but it was so worth it because now when we leave him he isn’t scared and is confident we will be back! We also leave the radio on softly for him. 💙🐶 we love our little Shepherd!

It was exhausting and frustrating but it was so worth it! We wanted him to be crate trained in case we need to ever board him for emergencies or fly with him. They do say dogs really like their crate because it’s like their den and a safe comfort and retreat for them. Now, we just leave him on our bed and close the door when we leave, because he loves it there, but he still does know how to be in his crate! Our fur babies are just adjusting to life with us and new ways so God was forsure teaching us patience and diligence! 💙🐾

He does get a kong every time we leave now since we’re not in the training phase. Also we had to leave him for a trip for a week so telling him we are going to the store and will be back really helps because he understood we where gone but we’d be back, and his caretaker told him that everyday so he was comforted knowing we’d be back!

I’m a little late commenting 😅😅 Jaclyn might never see this but I have prayed that identical prayer before. My dad was fighting leukemia in 2019 and there was actually a time we’re he got really bad and we were called up to Emory in ATL just in case we had to say goodbye. I remember saying that prayer that “I will praise You and love You even if my dad passes” because like you said, I was afraid that if my dad passed that I’d turn from God. Thankful to God my dad was declared cancer free recently but I wanted to comment and say to Jaclyn that you’re not alone in that. And also say that it’s not often that a simple weekly vlog makes me smile and laugh but yours did. 😊

Hey Jacklyn, have you ever thought about going to the library to get your books. They have an amazing selection and they are current and up to date. All you need is a library card. This way if you don't like a book you read you don't have to feel bad and there is no financial impact because your taxes are paying for it. I am an avid reader too and this is the way I read and it's a cheap way to entertain yourself. Also, have you heard of Karen Kingsbury? Her books are amazing. The genre is considered Christian fiction but the stories are awesome. It is amazing to see how the Lord works in the lives of people and this is clearly explained in these books. She has a ton to keep you busy. To start out i would start with the Baxter series. The first one is redemption. They are so good I am going back through them again three years later. Sorry for the long comment. I hope this is a blessing to you and I hope you have an amazing new year!!

So glad your Dad is ok! My Dad nearly had a heart attack and required very sudden quadruple bypass surgery. In that very hospital happened to be a Dr my mom knew personally and he was able to reassure my Dads fears about the whole process - which really is so traumatic I know firsthand 💗 AND, my Grandpa needed a valve replaced at thr very same time. So they were literally a couple of rooms away from eachother. We can always see God at work even in the chaos and pain and fear. He comforts us with reminders that He is near 🤗

Jaclyn I am so happy that your dad is ok. My dad had a severe heartattack while he was driving. Thankfully he was able to pull over. He flatlined in the ambulance on the way to the hospital but thankfully made it through and made it through his surgery. It was absolutely horrifying not knowing what was going to happen. That is truly one of the scariest things. I am so happy he is ok. & also, so happy that the new baby is doing well too.

My dog pooped in his crate a lot when he was a puppy. He had a lot of anxiety at first, but once I put on white noise, put a blanket over his crate, didn’t force him into it & gave him a frozen king each time he now loves it! At night he sleeps on his dog bed in our room but we can’t leave him out when we leave anymore. We used to and for the first year he didn’t get into anything but most recently he ate my couch 😂😭
