That is a punishing schedule, and your classes haven't even started. Please find time to rest your body! Oh, and the 10,000 steps thing is for people who aren't getting any other exercise. For someone who lives her whole life bouncing from rehearsal to practice to gym, it doesn't apply.

Could you show us around Beijing a bit more? Would love to see it today. My mom went back before 2000. I think it was about 1995 or 1996. Everyone only had bicycles, only government officials had cars. So all the incredibly huge avenues and roundabouts were packed with people on bicycles who somehow managed to make their way through without being knocked over!

The Forbidden City is quite awe-inspiring. So many ancient, imperial artefacts! Did they tell you that the extra high threshold at the entrance to the temples was to force everyone entering to automatically bow to the deities inside? And therefore avoid offending them?

Just in case nobody explained this to you- China’s work week is Mon-Sat but Sat evening and night traditionally is reserved for people to go back to their family home for their weekly family reunion on Sundays, so that’s why they never schedule classes/rehearsals on Sat night.

Maybe film an outing with your grandparents, if they are comfortable. Go looking for the authentic Beijing specialities. Have them remind you to film an outro!

You mean Audrey Hepburn? Yes, she was in the Netherlands but WWII breaking out disrupted her training and she became malnourished, developing an eating disorder which she struggled with for the rest of her life. Still retained the posture and grace that became part of her appeal when she came to the States and started working on film.

10000 steps per day doesn't actually have any scientific basis. Research over the last few years shows that doing less than 6000 steps is associated with poorer health outcomes but that the differences are quite negligible going over 6000. (Also this research assumes you're not then also doing lots of exercise like someone doing ballet training is so I wouldn't worry about your step count given you're getting a lot of other physical activity!)
