I can't even ever count how many times I've been on Bee Canyon and Control Road Trails up through the Idyllwild mountains on and in trucks,jeeps,bikes,quads,(and even a car hear and there)from Hemet/ San Jacinto/Valle Vista area!!! Every time I've been it's always been fun and it's always seen different whether it was in the middle of a snowstorm, pouring rain, fog, or in the dead of the heat in the middle of the summer it's the same place every time but it's never the same place any of the times......

In from Atlanta been living in Hemet with my girl for a year. I seriously can’t wait to come up to Idyllwild. I’m getting a first gen sequoia so I can do stuff like this. Must be peaceful to get away from all the people and hide away up there for a weekend.

Nomad Chad You said it! Idyllwild it one of my favorite places to get away. There and Mt. Laguna. Sequoia is a great vehicle! Won’t let you down. Being in Hemet you’re not too far from Borrego Desert. There’s lots of great truck trails and camping you could do in a sequoia out there. Check our our Weekend Warriors Playlist. Thanks for watching! Feel free to comment with any questions.

Excellent video! Idyllwild is one of my favorite places to camp. On the truck trail did you run into any situations that couldn't be handled by a 2016 4X4 Ford Expedition? Narrow or requiring a locker - didn't seem like it? The video quality is excellent and I love the drone footage. What equipment do you use (camera and drone)? I was poking around looking for live webcams of Idyllwild and came across your video trip and I'm very happy I did. Thank you for the Trailsoffroad.com idea - I'll check it out.

John Bouldin Thank you! Idyllwild is really a great place. There are more intense side trails from the run we did, but you would be 100% safe taking your Expedition on the main route. Easy. This video we used the DJI Osmo and Phantom 4. The main cameras now are the DJI Osmo Action, Phantom 4 advanced, and Sony A7riii. Thanks for watching and for the comment!

Awesome video guys! I know it's been a while now but, with the roads in the condition at the time you did it do you think an F150 4X4 with a SuperCrew can and standard length bed would make it out there without a problem? I am planning on going in mid August... Any advice/tips would also be greatly appreciated! I'm semi new to off roading. Thanks a bunch!
@TrailBendersOverland

Oh your truck would do totally fine on that trail. There are offshoots you’d want to avoid but you would really need to go out of your way to get into any trouble. The main trail is super easy. Just don’t go too fast around corners. Never know when someone else is coming the other direction.
