you can ride year-round in cali, but i tend to ride less when the nights become colder than 45 degrees, around December or January. but I crashed my car during the pandemic so i will be enjoying a winter riding season and some occasional rain rides 🤷♂🌊🏄

I live in Minnesota, so if I can ride until Halloween, I’m doing good .

When? My motorcycle is my only motorized transportation at the moment, so never.

I like to keep the toys available just in case we get an unusual warm spell during winter, so there's no actual winterizing going on with my stuff. I have a heated garage, so that may help the storage issues that would possibly surface if stored in an out building. I also have a long standing ritual, that with weather and road conditions permitting, I'll take one of the toys out on New Year's Day. So I like to keep them ready to go...just in case.😊

From Mid Oct to May the weather here can do anything. I never really put them away though, if there is a day I want to ride I go do it.

I'm the same way. I plan on riding until Christmas but if there is a nice day in January or February I take advantage of the opportunity and bundle up.

@@WaltInPA - This winter will be odd year for me and my riding. Sometime this spring I'll be doing a video on why.

Generally I don’t. I can usually get the bikes out once or twice a month during the winter which is usually enough to run through the tank of gas. I then fill it back up with 91 or 93 ethanol free and it gets me to the next season without having to put the bikes away.

Thanksgiving is pretty much when I put the bike away. Just way to cold and the chance of snow is way to high after that.

For me, it's about the weather and road conditions. I will NOT ride in winter weather conditions. As long as the temperature is above 50 and it is dry, I'll ride.

Once the salt is on the road, we are done here!! So this year we were lucky - November 12th we put our bikes away. We can ride til Christmas, but not good for your motorcycle all that salt.

If there is a chance I've ridden through salt residue., I make a point to stop off at the car wash on my way home to clean down my bike. Fortunately, we don't get a ton of snow here in PA so periodic rides in January and February are possible.

@@WaltInPA Ya My Harley has too much chrome, I cannot risk the salt, not worth it, however I have a few friends who ride all year long and they do what you do, just hit a car wash. We don't get too much snow but ice is an issue here with the lake effects

I have no date, if it’s a nice day and no salt on the road I’ll go for a ride. Gas treatment is the only thing I do for the winter.
